Look, do you want tall figures or do you want ones that aren't hollow because you're not going to see them be *both* anymore unless they're bumped up a price point and we've already seen what people such as yourself typically think of that (Hot Rod, Rodimus, ER/KD Prime, etc)

He costs $30, and he comes in a case with either Primal (who's short for a Voyager) or Rhinox (who has more hollow bits)

I want to know if any of the pics are good enough to tell if you can remove his microscope and use it as a back-weapon for other figures. I know people would freak out about "partsforming" but it's the kind of little thing that would really add to the line in general. It's the same reason I was really hoping BW Megatron's hip launchers and tail claw would be removable 5mm accessories.

AEC figures were less articulate and posable as well.

They also had springs and tons of bonus gimmicks (and sometimes sound) both of which have typically been taken out because of cost issues. As we see in the "Warrior" class Cyberverse figures who have simpler transformations but retain the idea of unique action features.

And that was the trade-off made at that time. Larger, lots of action features, but less articulation. Because back then your collector market wasn't as large so the focus was on making toys for kids.

Also, to go back to my point about wanting Perceptor's scope to be moveable. This pic went up yesterday from the Core Hot Rod thread.
The whole idea behind Siege was "build the battlefield." Imagine if they had really gone for it and let you remove certain "unique" or "iconic" elements of various characters so you could use them as weapons in your combat scenes. Stuff that was already pinned/mounted on posts anyway could be removable so characters could kit them out.

Sound is not something I would want back, to be honest.

Sentai still has it in mecha from time to time and yeah... it's neat but it's an added cost when it's not something like a changer or weapon.

Also, my Armada Jetfire still occasionally counts down if I bump his storage box.

No... Who in Primus name asked for larger figures?????!!!!.
For the past decade we have a Cohesive scale. Everything fits. If Hasbro ups the Robot size they are about to F#@k over everything and we have to buy EVERYTHING over AGAIN.
No they won't do that to Us. They Love us too Much for that. Perceptor is a Big Boy scale wise. We was bigger than the carbots and shorter than Springer and Blaster. They had to pick. Deluxe with gaps or Voyager with accessorys.

You got what you Got because everyone BITCHED about SS 86 Hotrod

D-did they? I admit a lot of reviews I heard said that the $30 price point seemed to be a lot to pay for HotRod. Which I get. Except that this is a fan base (and reviewers) that also justify spending $80 and up for Masterpiece figures. The high-end third party starts above $100. Want something like a seeker? Be prepared to spend what I did on a used car.

I'll say that the HotRod and Cyclonus from last year were not characters I needed to get. But they were so well done, I did. I do hope they serve as a design touchstone for others. They have the best possible engineering for that price point.

I pre-ordered Perceptor. But I'm not digging the amount of hollowness in him. If I buy aftermarket kits, or spend my time modding him, of course I'm already in for what it would have cost to make him a better voyager.

Hoping for a GS version (like FTs) or just a 3P IDW head.

Kind of already happening just missing the head (the important part/piece).

Perceptor had to.be larger than a deluxe and smaller than a Voyager. Like Hotrod. Why didn't we get a Voyager with.more accessory like Hotrod. Maybe even Chip chase. Instead we got a large deluxe with gaps and hollow bits. Of course 3p.wlll.have a 30$ set Togo with my 25$ deluxe. 55$ for a complete deluxe or Hasbro could have released a 33$ Voyager of Perceptor. Just my thoughts and opinions. Didn't mean to Offend.

If they go Back to old Chug scale (RTS Jazz for reference) nothing WFC trilogy will be in scale.

Well, I think we agree. I'd have gladly paid $10 more for a little better paint and engineered solidity. He looks to be a good scale to me, as is, for shelf display. The character of Perceptor never should be that big, physically. Just a holdover from the cobbled-together collection that was Takara/G1.

Yeah, I like my shelf to scale, sure enough. And Perceptor is supposed to be smaller than Prime, even though the G1 toy was beefier and taller than Optimus Prime.

So what condescending term should the fandom have for collectors who want things in scale?
    Scalloids?
    Scallions?
    Scaloids?
    Scale Queens? & etc.

Those whining about it being too big . . . The Titans Return figure exists. It is smaller, but excellent. It only lacks the ankle tilt of modern tots (like so many. TR-era stuff)

TR Perceptor will soon make an appearance in my sales thread. Never liked that the head just has to lounge around for the alt mode.

I never messed with the 2010 mold until very recently and.... what a hot mess.

My complaints were how big the microscope was and the head, also no waist articulation.
I actually got the RTS version recently and maybe it's just me but I don't get the hate for that figure or at least I don't hate it - minus the arms not really tabing in I really like it - actually sold off my TR figure for it.

The one I played around with briefly was very loose so maybe I didnt have the best example of that mold to experience.
