Hey, all. Random thought. I was having a discussion about Macguffins with my wife and I suddenly realized that I don’t have any DOTM Pillars in my collection. I know there are the ones built into the DOTM Ark playset, but has any other figure, official or otherwise, made them?
I know the Prime 1 Studios one too, but I’m looking for figure scaled, affordable ones.

Makes you wonder how TLK would have turned out if they took a different direction. Question, have we seen concept art exclusive characters yet in SS? I don't mean like designs that were not finalized yet but characters who only exist in art form.

 

No not to my knowledge but they're open to it

 

in that consideration dimension lives our stratosphere, robot steve buschemi, breakaway and more!

 

Are there any other than the knights/gladiators? I know there's the train canopy design but that's about it right?

 

There’s also characters like springer, other military vehicles, that one widow maker robot, etc.

It’s been very difficult to resist the urge to pay the early access fee for SS Soundwave, but I’m holding out for one of my PO’s to get filled by February.

Looks fake, but I'd love his real figure to resemble this.

 

Just found out its an amazing custom by sovbox/noorsovian! Hope it is close enough to the real thing. Pretty much based off the camaro bee with retooling/add ons.

 

It's fan-made but defending on how Off-Road Bee's design looks this could be close.

 

I have all the ones released from this set and as a stand alone figure he’s the one worth having. Long haul is good and the hightower combo set is nice but their skipjack is by far the best. The rest really suck as individuals.

Dude I’d be so down for that. I love the tail being the sword.

There haven’t been any official pillars. The 3D printed upgrade set I got for ss sentinel prime came with one though and it’s pretty cool!

 

I've hit a point thankfully where I'm not worried about getting figures first. I have a reliable shop I pre-order from, and I usually get the figures a month or two after they hit retail, but they always come through and I only ever have to pay retail.

 

My new work schedule has me leaving before the sun and arriving home after sunset. So nice to take pics under natural (foggy) light
