    Ah that sucks, guess there's nothing to do but wrap up warm and hang tight til Monday.
    Hopefully you can grab an electric heater or two to tide you over.

    Good luck!

    Any excuse for a duvet day, lol!

    Heater set up, bed socks will be out for the wife. Dog is in for more cuddles than usual, too...

    @4249david,
    Sorry your boiler's packed up, never a good time but particularly this time of year.

    Cheers bud. The heater is working surprisingly well downstairs. Hopefully it will warm the bedroom quickly before we head up later, too.

    I'm just hoping it's something the engineer can fix on Monday, and not 'some part that needs ordering from the manufacturer who only makes them to order in their factory that's closed due to covid'. Hyperbole, but you know what I mean!

    Dental update: Had my appointment with a better dentist today at a different practice and found out the first dentist I saw had not only missed that one of my teeth was almost completely worn down, but also that there actually IS a little decay in places. :mad:  Needless to say, I'm not planning on going to the first Dentist again...
    Anyhoo yes, new Dentist agreed that the problem tooth needs removing and I now have an appointment in a few weeks which, ok sooner would have been nice but if I'd gone NHS I'd probably still be waiting for a consultation. It is a bit pricey but will be worth it and they do an interest free payment plan option which is helpful :D
    So yeah, hopefully soon I'll be done with this tooth and it's so-called 'wisdom'.

    Over the last couple of days I've watched both Matrix Resurrections and Ghostbusters Afterlife. Both are belated sequels, released decades after their franchises previously ended. Both homage/borrow heavily from the first films in their respective franchise. And yet only one of them hit the spot for me.

    I can't say I hated Matrix 4, but I didn't love it either. Mostly I was just left questioning why they bothered making it in the first place? (Apart from $$$money obvs...)
    Ghostbusters on the other hand felt like a love letter to the original, respectful to it's source, and I enjoyed it a lot more than I was expecting.

    Eternals tomorrow, that will be me all caught up with the MCU. I think the next after that is Dr Strange 2 or the Ms Marvel series, although I'm not sure when either are due out.

    Dr Strange is May. Might get Moon Knight before then. Ms Marvel just did some reshoots so I don't think it'll be next

    Fingers crossed it can be sorted for you - get wrapped up!!

    Let’s hope they can get to the ‘root’ of the problem!

    BB17A2D2-0E01-47EB-A930-BD8D81EFD9C2.gif

    Seriously though, hope it’s as pain free as possible.

    Afterlife was wonderful. Beautiful story that homages the original sublimely.

    Sat at the base of my stairs next to my dogs bed whilst I wait for him to settle down as my hilarious neighbours thought it would be great to bark at him from their upstairs window at 11 o’clock tonight.
    Realised it wasn’t something to post on the toy group as I take the time to catch up and then I remembered someone mentioned a GD group so thought I’d at least put my first post on it.
    Going to creep upstairs and hope he remains settled.

    Huh, neat. I don't usually win things, so this is a nice surprise. It's a good thing I remember entering this thing, otherwise this looks like a scam message :lol

    Yikes, somebody should tell Microsoft that their messages look like scams!

    Spider webs are so much prettier in the cold.

    @4249david I hope you and the family are managing to keep toasty.

    Origins Stinkor now showing as in stock on Amazon at £14.99 so after cancelling my other order I've tried again.

    @4249david,
    Fingers crossed for you that the guy can fix the problem Monday 'cos waiting for parts only makes the process worse. We had that here a few months ago and were without hot water for a couple of days and whilst I didn't notice the cold as I hardly ever do not being able to shower as normal was annoying.

    @Xaran Alamas,
    Glad you were able to get a second opinion that was more accurate so hope the appointment is forthcoming. I reckon the only wisdom to be gained from those specific teeth are "Get them removed ASAP".

    @Blitzwing75,
    Sounds like your neighbours are in need of a good talking to!

    @DaftRaider,
    Congrats on the win!

    Working on a bit of gunpla customizing this weekend; so far it's gone pretty good, but the more involved bit will have to wait till tomorrow (modding legs with joints, etc)..

    Had a lazy saturday movie marathon.

    Boba fett ep 3. Brilliant. Please keep that up. It's great.

    Ghostbusters afterlife. A wonderful love letter to the fans, great ending that i suspected even before we started the movie, must see for fans of ghostbusters. Though did leave me with a couple of questions.

    Eternals. A good movie. I'd say about middle of the mcu, it's not one I'm eager to see again but I'd happily watch it again in the future. Works better as a standalone though, as it's placement in the mcu does leave me with some questions about why certain things weren't done, like grabbing that town of asgardians to help at the end since they mentioned they knew thor and odin. But the end does leave a perfect reason for another big bad to turn up down the line. I would like to see more. Ironically not with the mid credit scene though. That i don't care about. End credit scene, sure. Because i have no clue what that was about.

    Am very happy to have Legends Strange. He is almost the last ‘must have’ character for me (just need an A:EMH Carol Danvers).

    Strange has got muscley legs for some reason and the cape doesn’t come off. That said, he’s just what I wanted for my collection and comes with some good extras.

    I'm very happy with my copy of Dr Strange.

    Just waiting on Surfer from HasLab Galactus to complete the Defenders!

    I'm also so glad his face sculpt came out leagues better than I expected from the original renders my mate showed me.
