First off those pictures were just examples of how one can get a CHUG Prime Arcee that does more to capture the essence of that design similar to how the Kingdom BW figures did and not exactly how I wanted them. Second of all I never said I wanted the TFP figures to be 100% like the originals. Just enough to make sure they still retain many of their core elements. The BW figures in Kingdom again did this wonderfully so there's no reason why the Prime cast or any other non TF era characters can't get the same treatment.
But this one DID, that's the thing. You've posted unrealistic designs claiming they did better what this mold tried to do, and that's patently false. Tell you what, if you DO buy this thing let me know. I will personally mail you an X-Acto knife so you can shave off her nose and all will be right with the world.
The designs I've posted were more about how they captured how slim and agile she's supposed to be while her Legacy toy looks too blocky in areas where she shouldn't be along with how the different design choices don't really go together well as they ought to be in order to make the new look work. That's the point I'm making here. Also yeah I've preordered the figure because yeah there are some things I like about it but I also get why others aren't a fan of it because of the reasons I've mentioned here especially since the entire point of Legacy is supposed to be about showing more representation of different eras with their own respective design flair yet the hardcore G1 revamps done here go against that concept in large ways if not entirely.
The name of the line is Legacy, not slavish reproduction. If that was the case shouldn't Skids have had 6 points of articulation, all located in the arms? You mean this? That's probably the second slimmest/agile looking Generations figure to date, and once again is more than evocative enough to channel the character.
Ya'll still arguing over a $20 deluxe? You either like this thing or you don't. Stop spinning your wheels trying to convince the other side why it's good or bad. Bring out more digibash renders of repaint potential.
Right now my biggest gripes with Legacy Prime Arcee are the backpack (which becomes a "weapon" of sorts so it's okay I suppose, at least it's significantly better than ER Arcee) and the fact the wheel halves on the legs stick out so prominently; I wish there was a swivel so we could at least lay them more flush with the leg.
If you have an opinion, just say your piece and move on. Don't go digging a fight pit when people disagree with you. And don't phrase your opinions in ways that are sure to start fights. No high-horse "and this is why this brand is succeeding/failing" BS. The only one you can accurately speak for is yourself. That's the problem nowadays, is everybody thinks they're internet influencers, and that you have to convert other people to your way of thinking to feel validation. Screw all that noise.
Nah it's just painful watching the same people going back and forth getting nowhere, hence my spinning your wheels pun. Posting an opinion is fine, everyone has different tastes. But it gets boring as shit when the thread goes on for pages with the same people bickering back and forth the same points trying to change the other's mind. If someone subjectively does not like a figure, arguing objective points to why it's good is kinda worthless because most people won't buy something they think looks bad or is not their taste. I'll straight up tell you I think this thing looks bad as Arcee but I look forward to repaint potentials cuz it could be a good base mold for other characters that never got the Generations treatment. If I didn't think there was something to like, I wouldn't have come back to the thread.
One approach I would have LOVED would be if they had designed this mold as both TFP Arcee and Animated Prowl (with the transformation mostly borrowed from the basically perfect Prowl toy). I think it would have suited both characters equally well and resulted in a better figure.
I think it's a KO. There's one third party out there that's remaking/improving the First Edition toys and a few others.
So that's part of the Road Rocket look (Although the windshield should go lower). Can you remove the windshield altogether please?
