Always wanted a PG. As I mentioned almost owned the original RX 78-2 back on 2002 when one went on sale in Orchard Rd Singapore for US$50 during my stint as a guest in their Civil Defense EMT Prog and that one got away. I just recently checked Citrus' video of that kit and compared to this, once you go PGUnleashed you never go back! No screws, Core Fighter being simple yet detailed practical( cockit tends to fall off when you pullout) etc. But you are right as the lack of articulated fists which the older version has, definitely spoiled the experience. Hope a 3rd party puts one up they way they do with MP Tfs. Oh, using Citrus as the only reference, the original never had a hyper bazooka? Missed that weapon too as it would look even more awesome.
Looks like gloss and metallic injection plastic.. That makes it even better! The cables are molded in a brown plastic, the ones on the top of the weapon are molded as a linked pair, the ones on the bottom are separate.
i've a bootleg of the old DX toy of that very same Combiner Mecha, that included an english-translated instruction sheet full of some the most hilarious Chinese-Engrish i've ever encountered;
considering that Kotobukiya is currently working on Brave Series/J-Decker model kits, I'm really hoping we get a model kit of Build Tiger soon.
Shield is near complete! The sabers are done too, with just a couple touches of gray and accent. I hadn't realized just how slim this is.. all things considering the "Because Anime" Magic of its heat whip stored inside it. Quick note, that raised line on the blue face of the shield is now light gray. I painted it after taking this picture. Back to its backside, it's impossible to think a weapon based on Epyon's tail would fit in there. A wire on the other hand, that makes sense. But then it wouldn't be a *whip* would it. Attached on the shoulder, I can finally take a picture of the whole kit built so far in landscape orientation! All that remains is the head, which will be assembled next time. Tonight it became the only surface of the kit receiving a paint color other than gray. That browline is so pronounced and lines up with the cheek plates.
I saw a rumor we are getting the F90ii L type MG this year. I am pretty excited about that. They actually showed a new display for the previous F90 release to hold the mission parts.
Whoooo. Definitely will have to get that one. The L-Type pack was one of the two F90 kits that my brother and I had growing up, so it has a special place in my heart. The V-Type too, which I had on preorder with Nippon-Yasan, but now has good "poof". I guess I'll have to hunt it down some way or other.
Well, ShowZ sent payment requests for the metal skeleton upgrades for the MG Freedom, Justice, and Providence, so I guess those are out there now.
Look who joined the party! Might have to take a break on the month of the mono eye for a few days. Edit: I got too excited about the turn a I forgot to show off the newest members of the mono crew:HG Bound Doc, HG Zaku I Sniper type and MG Jesta
Thanks for pointing that out. The email went straight to my Junk folder, so I missed it entirely. Now to actually get myself the MG Freedom 2.0... and actually paint up my MG Freedom 1.0...
Final day of Tallgeese III! With the head saved for last. Some paint for presence on the Leo grade camera eye, and the important painted vents and head vulcans too. I used the foil sticker included with the kit underneath the coated lens. I pulled another "me" move and forgot to install the masked visor on the forehead parts but I fixed it before it was too late. And now for the static finishing pose! My 266th Gunpla, and 67th Master Grade. Backlogged since 2015, it's finally put to rest. It still needs a clear coat, and doesn't have the same weight as it would had I not gifted off the heat whip but I'm content with how this turned out. I'm glad I waited to work on it in earnest. Especially with that sub arm assembly for the pods. Had I not put this off until the Fluegel came in the mail, I would have either frozen it in place with cement or shelved it. Seeing how this was one of my earliest P.Bandai purchases through an intermediary source at double the normal price, I wasn't willing to accept defeat for any screw ups I made. Rigged on its Action Base. I had to cement the swiveling mounting post together with the stanchion. My first negative encounter with these aftermarket copies is the gear and locking key in the base don't meet so the Tallgeese was falling over. Looking back at my records, I finished Tallgeese II originally in 2017 and it was my 216th Gunpla. I'm not immediately starting the Fluegel, but I promise it won't be after another 50 models. - Up next, another bit of unfinished business from deep in the backlog. I thought at first about going back to work on the Figure-Rise Ultraman Suits I have stacked and started.. but I really need to finish a Seven Sword before Ultra Seven. Backlogged almost as long as Tallgeese III was, but left unfinished since 2018. I know my plans are still for a full 00 XN Seven Sword Raiser, but I need to step it back and finish the 00 Gundam, and put the XN Raiser parts away for now. All that remains is the head, backpack, and Twin Drive. It also means dusting off everything, from the actual dust covering the remaining parts and finishing the paint pallette. I went a little carried away in adding color to this, I got fatigued applying it on the Raiser so I didn't come back to it earlier. Funny thing is I'm trying to finish watching "00" again anyway.
Yeah those are the beam blade parts from the regular MG 00 Raiser. Since the XN-Raiser is literally the same kit with the new weapon module, they're included in the package.
I've been looking at bootleg XN Raiser kits to try and combine it with my NG 0 Raiser but I honestly can't tell what parts are included and which aren't with the knockoff since it needs MG 0 Raiser for the main body. i keep looking at Revell's 1/96 Saturn V kit and while I want it, it costs as much as the Lego one, is about the same size as the Lego one, and Lego is rad.
