I’d imagine you’d only get tt raiden for the train modes? since the tts raiden proportions look way off plus the big chunks of kibble on its feet moon studios is superior in every way tbh

 

H-have you seen their masterpiece releases in the last few years? They're QC nightmares that people pay $200+ for happily. People will buy official just to buy official. They will talk down about third party because it's not official.

They will always have a market, no matter what inaccurate, greebled, CHUGsterpiece disaster combiner they release.

 

And the war of wars begins lol. The official Moon vs. TT Raiden war has officially begun. Meanwhile, I'm gonna go to the station. Better yet, I'm just gonna enjoy fiddling around with my 2 train bots to pass the time til the war ends lol

 

The MS trains are basically chibi-fied versions of real trains. I think that’s the major complaint. Yeah, they resemble trains and they look ok in bot mode but clearly MS Raiden was the main focus of the set and everything else was worked out from there. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

Yeah, people forget that Zeta/MS doesn’t do accurate vehicle modes. Blastoff was “chubby”…… Silverbolt was off…..

In this case, I really do think they were more focused on the cartoon look, than real world accuracy.

Got my Dark Night & Iceland from TCP today. Have only did a quick look at them so far. Won't be transforming them until later.

 

The weird chest on the Takara figure gave me an idea I couldn't resist.

Instructions were super unclear making the transformation more difficult than it is, but 10 years of transformers helped me decipher them. They seem much longer in person (insert joke here) helping the "chibi" aspect hide away. Pictures definitely don't help

 

My night just got very interesting very quickly lol. But once all 6 members are in hand, the order I chose to put them in will be one that makes sense to me. I discovered that with the original G1 figures and in the cartoon itself, no matter the order of the 4 trains in between Yukikaze & Shouki, the end trains never change and they were never meant to. Pretty cool aspect of Raiden if you ask me. Another thing, with the G1 figure of Kaen, the way he's designed, it's a symmetrical design for when he forms the "pants" of the combiner. So I see where Moon was going with this set and Iron Arm as well. If the train modes are off, then so be it. If the robot modes look goofy, so what. At least we get a kickass combined mode to make up for everything else. I'm gonna leave it at that..

 

I'm not one to say "X looks like shit", but yeah this looks like shit.
