Got mine from TCP and while I haven't transformed it yet I've already noticed a couple of issues...

Right away when I picked up his gun I can tell that the barrels are not parallel to each other which can only be a mold issue because the plastic is pretty thick and all one piece. If you look at it front on one barrel is clearly pointing upward compared to the other. It also seems that his backpack can't peg in completely. Only the top two pegs go into their holes. One of the bottom holes on his back seems to be misshapen and so far I haven't been able to message a peg into it. The backpack holds on OK but it's definitely not as tight as I'd like it to be. Will try transforming tomorrow but I'm basically filled with dread already after my initial look.

 

Does anyone know how to remove the T Rex feet from the robot wrists?

That red dot is a screw hole cover. I assume you remove the screw behind it.

If your copy is like mine, the covers shouldn't be hard to remove. Mine were constantly falling out.

 

Thanks so much!   There's an obvious grey screwhole cover closer to the elbow. I'm assuming the red circle on that side is the screwhole cover. Correct?

No, my red covers aren't loose at all. I'll try a spudger but if it's glued then I'll probably need to use a knife. Maybe they forgot to glue yours?

Maybe? I haven't messed with mine since I took some pictures for a review and he's been sitting at my desk in dino mode ever since. I vaguely recall the screw being on the inside of his left arm, not sure about the right.

Could be. But if that's the worst QC issue my copy has then I must have won the lottery.

So I got mine from TFSource and the only QC issues I’ve seen out of the box and posing, the ratchets on the shoulders to rotate the shoulders up into robot mode constantly move while his regular shoulder joints are tight as fuck. No loose side to side waist movement. The gun came bent but I honestly don’t give a flying fuck since I’m only using the sword.

 

Got mine in just today and the shoulder screw things came out immediately. Have the replacement shoulders already too. Just need to figure out how to take it apart.

Aside from the that, this guy is HUGE!

 

Should just be four screws in the back to separate the upper torso and get access to the shoulders.

 

I have the same issue with the shoulder joints.

Does the back panels (with the 4 pegs) not actually really peg well for anyone else? I can only get the top two in and the back piece constantly comes loose. (The dinosaur head and panels with the dinosaur arms)

ShowZ came through with the replacement parts. Which is greatly appreciated. But for whatever reason the lights still aren’t working. Tried multiple batteries again. But the new leg is perfect and he’s super sturdy now.

Real shame with this figure, I don’t think I’d ever buy from Planet X again.

Figures due to tolerance issues and weak plastic that crumbles apart
Selling or trading the bunch of them basically as a junk lot

 

Had the back issue at first but just had to push a bit harder and it popped in on the bottom. haven't had the issue since
