Well that's the thing isn't it, whether or not M A X I M U M A C C U R A C Y (tm) is a good thing is entirely a case of personal preference. When you commit this hard to something like this, there will be a part of the fandom that isn't into it, esp given how big the TF fanbase is.

Masterpiece, as far as I'm aware, was never intended to be a cartoon line, so they always have that out.

While I'm fully onboard on how Menasor is going to work, part of me is hoping the figure is designed in a way that allows it to use CW limbs as well.

There's room for built-in elbow joints in those 3P Combiners because they're very large figures, plus the designs are super chunky.

The Stunticons are neither. They're very low-profile vehicles. So you're going to wind up with a very flat limb, and an even flatter elbow.

Don't see how that will be possible, given that the frame of Menasor is unfolded from the trailer of Motormaster. It has armatures for the arms and legs (the limb bots don't form limbs, they just plug onto the limb armatures), and I doubt they will be attached to the central section by Combiner Wars combiner pegs and sockets.

Accuracy is malleable and negotiable, fake parts bring into question the very nature of transformation. From where I'm standing one is a much bigger sin than the other.

While I'm all in for this Menasor, and I think Dragstrip looks great, im not a massive fan that Motormaster will transform into the cab and half the trailer, reason being, I often use transformers as a way of keeping my hands busy, and having to reattach and detach the combiner shell wouldnt be too fun for me. Im very glad it is taking the shell approach tho. Personally I'd like the motormaster to be like tha magic square one (I think? ), where only the cab was motormaster, and the trailer was the shell, because that would make the combined mode even better

Either that, or one idea i had was to have motormaster be the cab and the trailer, but only like the skeleton of the trailer, so it all becomes panels and folds in to motormaster's robot mode. And then you dont have to combine motormaster and menasor to transform him

Honestly can't get over how good Drag Strip looks to me. If the other Stunticons are on par with him, I'm going to be very happy. Down for Sunbow style combination as well, since it'll probably look a lot more cohesive than Scramble City type combiners. I'd also argue that Drag Strip and part of Motormaster (or his trailer anyway) coming together to form the arm fits the idea of combining better than just jamming a half-transformed robot into a stump. And if it lets all the Stunticons hold up on their own as impressively as Drag Strip, I'm all for it. I have a feeling the splitting pulls some Armada Overload style trickery to avoid partsforming. I think he only splits after you connect him to Menasor, with a tab going into that slot on his back to release the mechanism. So you connect all of him on there, then he splits when you extend Menasor's arm. That would explain why he was so tricky for PvsP to pull Drag Strip apart on its own, and why Apollux couldn't figure out from leaked instructions how/when the split happens.

Let's begin with the fact that he has halfs of his car front hangin near to his head. That looks ugly. His wheels have yellow clips istead of hub caps. He is too wide for Dragstrip. Ha has haps below his knees. He has hollow head.

I've seen both. The CW has his own unique style without that "G1 animation modells forever" and "G1 toys should be remade into figures and should never be forgotten". He has stylish, yet beautiful car mode. He has quile unique forearms that looks like sleeves. He has no gaps in his shins. He has actually full head.

All I want for Motormaster is that he has those stupid "Truck-cab" feet...I don't care if they are faux!!!

Faux parts are really the only way to go on a lot of characters due to the animators taking so many liberties when translating the toys to toon. As long as the faux parts are hidden well in alt mode then they are fine. Looking at you Kingdom Dinobot while your thighs look back at me.

My question is why does vehicle scale suddenly matter so much with Motormaster? Like, you don't see anyone seething about the G1 seekers being so wildly out of scale in vehicle mode, because surprise surprise, their jet modes are wildly out of scale. It just seems a lot easier to have Motormaster have an out of scale vehicle mode and not have to deal with faux parts where a truck cab pretends to be a full tractor trailer with tiny cab feet.

Motormaster scale compared to the Stunticons stands out because both types of vehicles are rather familiar. People intrinsically know how they should look next to each other. Jets next to cars is an abstraction. People just know the jet should be bigger, and that's about it. Very few people have experienced that distinction first hand, and even fewer with such regularity that the size difference becomes known intrinsically.

I personally don't care how it's accomplished scale-wise. I just like the stupid cab feet. LOL

Same, something like this too, because motormaster only turns into the cab, which i would prefer, to be honest.

The average person will only ever see a fighter jet from a distance. So the plane bots being out of scale will be far less noticeable than Motormaster vs the Stunticons.
