Legitimately tho, what new would this bring outside of maybe articulated hands? Like an opening engine is neat but really it totally is very similar to FH’s. Probably why it was canceled. At least this makes more sense than other canceled projects.

 

I'd say from the looks of it the arms/shoulders would be a bit less awkward, but yeah it makes sense why they cancelled, especially considering this was back in 2017 rather than today.

 

It might be readily available (I have no looked), but I feel confident saying it is not still in production. Apparently the mold sold poorly enough that FH decided against giving us G2 Megatron to go with the G2 Prime.

I suspect you are not interested in the trailer, but just in case I'm wrong since I don't know, FH Scourge did have a gun made for him that comes with his trailer, though it is a separate purchase.

 

Yeah, I don't need the tanker, and it's not worth it to me to spend twice as much just for the gun.

Granted, the tanker's sold out over on TFSource, at least, which is where I noticed that Archenemy is still in stock from a very cursory google search earlier today.

 

I believe this is it. MMC was designing a Scourge but it was axed when Archenemy was announced, even though it looked better.

 

I think this one looks way better, I find the FH version very awkward to mess with.

 

Yeah, I don't dislike the FH mold, but it shows that it's one of their first toys.

 

In November last year I decided to design the Ruination deco for Assaultus just to see if I could actually make it work. I showed the boss and he's now more interested in considering it.

Whether we do it or not though is dependent on the sales of the G2 set and whenever mmc has another production window available for a full set again which likely won't be until 2023 at the earliest. With the other two combiners on the way and all the other things mmc wants to be making over the coming years you guys still might be waiting for Ruination until 2024 even if we do end up doing it.

And I should stress, this isn't official word. This isn't a promise. This isn't me saying "yes absolutely!" on behalf of mmc. So please don't misunderstand and get over excited. Even if we had all the time and money in the world sometimes mmc just doesn't bother making something if they'd rather do something else. And the boss still might either want to do a different redeco or none. We won't know for a long while still what we'll decide to do or not do after our G2 set.

 

There's no worse experience as a TF fan than liking RID.

I didn't expect so definitive an answer.

In my case, it sounds more like maybe I should consider the G1 for the time being, and then later have a set of G1 Combaticons I can keep in robot mode and then a combined Ruination, if the stars align.

Though, if Boss Penguin decides to do a Battle Gaia years later, I'm chill with that, too.

 

If they do Battle Gaia and not Ruination then I quit.

 

Admittedly, if anyone should be doing a Battle Gaia, it's Iron Factory, but I don't think the IF fan base would be happy about another Decepticon combiner, and especially one that is a repaint.  

 

Any hints of a.toy version ? I can't stand the current blast off colours

I used to think this team was full of inconsistencies (different height between members, difference scale of Fraudo than the carbots, Incursus towering their companions, small height of the Gestalt)... But lately I'm starting to appreciate the effort of MMC to give us the real All-in-One combiner experience.

So, anyways, I'm a late bloomer. Do you know if I already missed that train or is it still possible to buy Fraudo and Impetus at reasonable prices?

See, that makes me sad. Because although there are those who like G2, I don't think the G2 will appeal enough. Thus sales likely won't be high enough and thus the Ruination version won't happen. (If it were the other way around, it likely would be a different story, because the RiD colours are simply more appealing and stunning.)

I haven't got the full set (Brawl I wanted, Vortex always tempted me, and Onslaught just looked good) nor am I certain I will get Blast Off and Swindle. However, I can see with absolute certainty that I will not buy any members of the G2 release because I have no nostalgia for them and I frankly despise the colours.

But Ruination...again no nostalgia, but it just looks good. I would definitely buy the RiD version...if it is made.

 

Imagine they do the most obscure Bruticus repaint there is that this version can't even do his most well know configuration over Ruination, whom they already omitted over a version of Bruticus that was part of a line that did so poorly it nearly killed the brand.

 

That Scourge looks good. I would have liked a Laser Optimus Prime out of that. I got FH's version and it's great.
