I'm... guessing you're talking about MCU John Walker, right? Do you even know about him as a character outside of the most mainstream iteration?? Also do you realize you were manipulated by a show into thinking a character's completely justified murder of a piece of shit was somehow 'over the line' with particular music, a weepy backstory and certain camera angles?  

MCU John Walker was genuinely not a bad person throughout most of FatWS who was treated pretty unfairly for no tangible reason.

So comparing him to a badly written character like Bay Prime just doesn't work. I get what you were going for as it's an easy comparison, but it's still incorrect.

 

Caving someone in by pushing them to the ground with their hand up in surrender shouting "It wasn't me!" in broad daylight is generally considered to be "over the line".


And the thing was it wasn't him that killed his friend. It was the stupid leader of theirs that the show couldn't figure out if she was a good person or not.

Difference is between John and Prime is that John learns from it and it leads to his Cap moment of him holding the truck of people to save them, while Bayverse Prime would learn nothing from it and turn around to his Autobots and go "boy isn't it a swell day we're having! Freedom is the right of all sentient beings except for that guy."
