I don’t think that’s really a valid take on what is driving up today’s price. The market prices are inflated now due to large shortages of raw goods due to the pandemic and other factors not to mention inflation, very rarely does inflation…. Deflate. Also holy Necro response from a comment 10 months ago. Lol.

 

For me, it's just interesting to make Sandstorm botmode as toon-accurate as possible. If his carmode and helicoptermode aren't 100% toon accurate, then it's fine for me. The main thing is the botmode.

Sandstorm is at the top of my wishlist after the announcement of the Battlechargers and Omnibots. The UT Sworder is hard to become and also expensive at the moment. Hopefully there will be news on a better Sandstorm soon.

Mp 44 came out before covid no shortages then yet a huge jump in price.

This was a market trend before covid.

 

Everything always gets more expensive, the how’s and why’s do shift though. There was a time when you could pay a nickel for a steak dinner.

That doesn't even count the Sandstorm, Buster & Hydra, Elita-1, and anything like the expected Rodimus Prime and now Dinobots.

Got a figurative spot on the shelf for a good MP Sandstorm with G1 toy face and alt modes.

 

Seeing Sandstorm be hinted at but Broadside TBC hurts…

I just want a proper MP Broadside, dammit.

 

I think it is good to point out why some of these rumors get started and for people to chill out when someone says they saw something. A LOT of rumors on here started from conversations Keith had like this. One thing Keith may be referencing with set of minibots on his computer is that in TFCon Chicago 2016 XTB teased Brawn, Outback, and Powerglide that I am guessing are from 598 Robots. With FT knocking those out of the park I doubt I see him getting that interested in those now. With only needing that and Gears/Swerve XTB was actually close to being the first to complete all minibots but they quit pursuing them and made them at various quality levels over a period of time. The X1 Glider and Krank/Stack really predated MP era and were of poor quality to anything compared to now. FT has taken these very seriously and looks to be completing the set on their own.

Buster and Hydra I think he really wants to do but is still dealing with the aftermath of losing the main KFC designer. The prototypes were done for those but the alt modes were compromised versions of the real jets and I think that he feels he cannot continue to development from the current prototype and existing design to get what they want done. King Raijin was apparently far enough along for them to accept the design and move from prototype to the finish line. Still haven't seen painted Godbomber but they obviously have it to prototype.

Fembots he previously confirmed and we saw the Elita-1 prototype. I think with the release of Ultra Magnus, Springer, Only Human it is likely they do Arcee, finish Elita-1 and at some point revive their Fembot plan ala Junkions.

Sandstorm and Broadside are old rumors that started around the time of Virtus announcement. If Sandstorm is really alive I think we see Broadside eventually. Keith obviously believes, maybe with 598 Robots, that they have a design that works for Sandstorm.

 

It makes sense though. We still don't have a set of Dinobots that's up to modern toon accuracy standards.

I feel like what XTB is probably hoping to do is make the four other Dinobots after Takara announces a Grimlock 2.0. But if Takara takes too long then I could see XTB going ahead regardless.

 

After GigaPower and Fans Toys, I see Dinobots as a dead stick and both are continuously reissuing those. GigaPower ONLY has Dinobots so I don't see the market there. To toon them would make them flat grey with no detail and I don't see the love affair with paying a premium price for those. FT already did a very toon aesthetic since this wasn't a real world vehicle.

 

I would go in hard on a toon accurate set of dinobots. I doubt I'm the only one.

 

Dude I just want a set of Dinobots, period, haha.

Going in on Fans Toys with the reissues but i'm ACHING for the other three. Would definitely give this supposed XTB set a chance as a double.
