I guess they are dropping the branding from the stands? I like that.

They need to divert the costs to buying more glue for the bicep swivels.

I can confirm that I handled Joker with kid gloves. I oiled him up to the point where he's loose.

Yet they kept that lame ass Superman head. Looks like he's about to go down the first hill on a rollercoaster.

It does look like a different sculpt. Typical mcfarlane fashion. Same figure different head. Buy multiples of the same thing over and over. Damn why can't he just throw extra heads in instead of crappy stands.

I canceled Superman because I figured they would do this set. I canceled Supes and the ugly Joker because of said set and the fact that, I think they will do another set with blue Batman and A Horse.

Im starting to get more annoyed with each figure. The ankle/wrist balls are also getting more loose.

Since it's Todd, I know Batman had the side look going underneath the mask. I just know it.

    Well this is upsetting.

This was going to be my consolation prize in the increasingly likely event that Bandai doesn't make The Batman figures. But if they're at preorders for another batch, that means people were actually buying them while they were in stock. It might not last long enough.

I could deal with Superman's headsculpt but it drives me nuts to see this Superman released twice with unpainted belt loops. It isn't like McFarlane either. They got the belt loops right at least three times in the past 2 years so I can't see why they got them wrong here.

As a side note: they technically got Rebirth Bizarro's boots wrong but it at least matched the sculpt and I'd have bought Rebirth Superman if he had boots like Bizarro's. They'd bypass these issues altogether if they just used the Reborn look.

I've recently gotten back in to vintage 80`s and 90`s toys, and its an odd market. Stuff that had been dirt cheap for three decades seems to have suddenly shot up across the board. I think its a supply issue these days. I don't think people clear their closets like they used to via eBay, for all the problems now associated with it. I think we haven't even seen the worst of it yet. When casual sellers start to grasp the new tax reporting at $600, they'll be gone. Soon it will be primarily resellers with Kenner Swamp Thing and pre-ML Toybiz.

Of course, all the fees figure in now as well. EBay gets 15%, States get up to 10%, Fed will take roughly 25% of profit. If somebody is willing to sell you that Playmates Wesley Crusher, a $10 figure gets to be $20 pretty fast. Shipping is astronomical. Every sale represents a new plateau for resellers, and the asking prices keep escalating.

And of course, 90s kids are in their prime earning years now, so demand is up. I think there's still way more supply of 90s vintage than 80s, but it's becoming less accessible as the demand increases and eBay gets worse.

It's not really looking good if you're trying to raise money from your collection. People will hit that $600 cap easily. You can get past US taxation if you can prove you didn't make a profit out of your sales even if you go above the cap but who has time to dig up and file paperwork for that?

Did any of you buy MAFEX Ras al Ghul from Dark Knight Rises? Was wondering how it turned out.

Yup, it's flat out terrible for the collector market. That $600 figure is gross as I understand it--meaning shipping costs also contribute. Most casual collectors will hit that easily and find themselves doing the small business schedules on their taxes, with no COGS receipts from 20-years of collecting.

And its not just eBay, its PayPal, Etsy, Amazon. Collectors got screwed.

Nice to see they actually fulfilled an order. I thought 40 was pretty impressive for what you get. I only wanted the Crows

what's the deal with the 3Jokers Batman being non-existent at retail?

is it that great of a figure? Or is it just shortpacked compared to the amount of others in the case?

It’s starting to show up at Walmart. I think the figures have been shipping in solid cases, I’ve only seen Batgirl and Red Hood at Target(each time only a few of 1 of them, not both at the same time) and the Comedian at GameStop. People have been saying it’s good in reviews with the main issues being some hindered joints(diaphragm)

My brother found around 3 of them in a Walmart in NorCal, so they’re out there. Only figure I haven’t seen is “The Criminal” Joker. Finally saw the Comedian and Red Hood at Target the other day.

Ona another note, my second attempt at ordering the Batman Who Laughs 4-pack stuck. Looking forward to it arriving. Regretted not getting that figure when Target had dozens of em in early 2020.

So much better than their first Rebirth Batman IMO. Especially in the face. I don't have any Mcfarlane DC stuff but I might get this (but knowing me probably not)
