I never had el cid because I didnt like he's proportions, so unfortunately I can't make a comparison. However from what I've heard about the plastic on him, Mackron is definitely better and he holds together well. I was also surprised by the amount of diecast in his legs/feet, he's pretty hefty!
If scale is something your concerned about, I'd say wait until UT or Newage releases, because Mackron scales better with the offical mpm line.

Forgot I had this on Preorder and it showed up today. Not going to open it as if already decided to buy the UT one instead. Guess I’ll sell it off for ~$50 less than I paid for it.

And what annoys me the most is that they are the only ones who have made a design of the dreads!  

 

TW are also doing the dreads but they haven’t shown anything beyond artist rendering yet  

 

But Toyworld is even worse than AAT!

 

Toyworld will finally release a prototype image of their WWII Crowbar, their first Dread, in Earth's final moments as the sun turns itself into a white dwarf star, destroying the solar system in an eruption of heat.

 

Maybe that they’re both doing these will soon settle that debate, though I would much rather both sets be amazing and have the choice between them made by aesthetics rather than quality.

I generally stopped paying attention to their endless art teases. I didn't realize Crowbar was on the WWII roster. Those seem to be happening a little faster than anything else they've teased so maybe he'll actually happen. Maybe.

Mostly I want them to get Shatter out. Don't care if she works well or not (although that would be a HUGE plus), I just want an MP scaled Shatter.

 

It may have been MP, honestly their naming/announcement/pretty pictures system is a mess to keep track of. The art looks cool and all but uhhhhhh, we ever gonna see something?

 

Thank you! God he is just in the scale i wanted both in vehicle mode and bot mode but thought of having to pay the thrice the money i paid for UT Nero is killing me.

 

we’ll never see all of them so I don’t take that seriously. Once we hit proto then we can hope- although their turn around time even after those is painful.
