Damn, that definitely shouldn't be. Hopefully if it's just that bit that holds it in they can send that out to you. Not sure they'd send a whole wing or an entire figure, but they ought to be able to source a pin to send to you at the very least.

 

Have you reached out to Fans Toys directly? That's been my best bet. They sent me a new (unrusty) FT-14 Kickback leg just this past fall. They (allegedly) wouldn't send parts to my retailer when I tried that route. Good luck! -

Yeah, the other wing is a floppy mess on mine too.

I'm hoping for a swap. The other wing is a loose floppy mess too. The last few FTs I've gotten have just been a let down in terms of quality. I don't know if I've had rotten luck or they're just starting to slip. If XTB wasn't even worse I'd have made the switch off FT by now.

I messaged TCP first. If they make me go through the distributor, then that'll be my last TCP order. I've gone though FT before with other retailers, but the minute I have to do that instead of the retailer rectifying the situation is the minute I stop buying from a seller.

 

It might be bad luck. So far I've not seen reviews on Laserbeak's wings being floppy. That one seems to be the best of the bunch. Mine came in today and I've been playing with it, messing with the articulation and getting the missiles to line up and it's still holding up. I think the overall quality of these tapes have been Laserbeak - good, Ravage - good with some tight hingers, and Rumble - loose hips.

Hopefully you'll be able to get a swap. Something tells me they didn't do the other wing right with that pin if it's loose as well.

 

The QC on the tapes isn't that great IMO. Out of the 4 F/Rumble legs in my set, 2 are very loose and 2 are perfectly tight. I'm assuming that's what happened to your bird. My Lazerbeak is pretty darn perfect.

Yeah, IDK what's going on with FT QC. Seems to not be as perfect as it was before. I hope you just get a new LB sent to you.

 

Did you check the packaging to see if it was floating around loose?

So I posed these guys how I think I'll have them for the collection. I was packing away the MP cassettes and I thought to myself, if I'm not going to be using them, I might as well see if I can incorporate their blasters into the RP set. Not only are the a better looking pair, but they are slightly bigger so they scale a bit better imo. Just in case anyone else wants to do the same. I just added tape to thicken the posts to go into the back.

 

Great idea! They even have little faces them. LOL. I can use my THF ones.

 

LOL I never noticed that. But yeah, it does look better with them. I just wished the fins moved so I can get them away from the piledrivers. Otherwise they just move inwards and out of alignment. And I think with some sanding they can fit into the hands of Rumble/Frenzy too.

 

Shame they couldn't have painted the screw heads on "Frumble". Makes them kind of standout

I filed down the teeth on all of the shoulder ratchets. Now they're soft ratchets.

 

Those MP blasters look good with RP Rumble & Frenzy. Definitely going to do that. Thanks for the tip.
