That surprises me. What was the last version? G2 Ramjet?
I got that one, and it seems just as good as the Starscream.
Should we be concerned about the upcoming Coronation Starscream then?

 

Agreed. I have Sandstorm and G2 Ramjet. Both are fine. Not sure if Crown Starscream is worth it if I already have OG Starscream.

 

I think Coronation is going to be okay, post that I would worry. Siege was the main thing hit hard, and why likely no Sunstorm sadly.

 

Where is the evidence of the mold being "hit hard"? Netflix Sparkless Seeker seemed fine.

 

Once upon a time the same was said about the 06 deluxe mold, around the time of the henkei/gentei runs. but rumor is that hastak refreshed it somehow or possibly had a new one cut in time for the 2010 generations.

Maybe they'd do something like that again, knowing full well that the Fandom is willing to buy another 10 seekers if they made them.
Hell, maybe the retooling done to coronation starscream IS that refresh to tighten the tooling back up for another run of 8-10 easy repaints.

 

I had zero interest in the base trio, so I don't have any of the regular ER seekers -- only Sandstorm, G2 Ramjet and completely unexpected Ramjet and Dirge.

I keep hoping for an Air Warrior set of the three MTMTE Earth based seekers: the lavender, the greenish and the in-between blue-ish. But I'd also be happy with Bitstream, Hotlink and Nacelle although strictly speaking those should be Siege versions (and Hotlink was already released as such).

I'd wish. The only Conehead they've repainted is Ramjet. Twice now. THough I love them both, I would love to see a Dirge and Thrust repaint.

 

I'd buy the heck out of any g2 repainted er seekers they pump out and reissues of dirge and ramjet of course.

As far molds go, they could definitely just make a new one and get their money back for sure

 

I want a new seeker mold... Maybe a true tetrajet, anyone?

 

They keep making ER seeker repaints, I will get them. But on my want list of ER seeker repaints:

-ER Sunstorm
-ER Acid Storm (darker green w/ camo like the TFU 2.0 release)
-G2 Starscream
-Nacelle
-G1 cartoon "generic" seeker
-Night Raven repaint of Ramjet based on the Cobra vehicle (wishful thinking)

 

Lets see how many repaints the upcoming Armada Starscream ends up producing....

 

I just need another cheap conehead so I can customize them into the devastation seekers without buying 2 of the same guy if I give up on the project.

 

I forsee at least 3 happening
- Thundercracker/Starscream's super mode
- Skywarp
- Ramjet
And I'd be cool to see other repaints that we didn't get

As long as we can get Slipstream and a rerelease of all three Coneheads I'll be happy.

I really hope we get a Universe Ramjet out of that so I can modify/repurpose it into IDW Starscream's 'true form':

 

The thing you have to remember is that Sideswipe and Cliffjumper are $20 toys and the Seekers are $35. The larger the size class, the fewer slots in any given line. There are usually something like two or three times as many deluxes as voyagers. So obviously they're going to get through one set of variants faster than the other.

I wasn't super thrilled with the Earthrise seeker (which reinforces how much I had to like G2 Sandstorm to put him in a top five list) so about the only thing that would prompt me to buy more is a really original deco. I can't say any of the usual suspects would do it for me. Something that homaged either Leader-1 or orange tiger stripes? That'd be a different story.

 

I sold my Earthrise Starscream after two weeks. The jet mode felt too small.

I'll take any repaint of the Siege mold but I'd prefer they didn't use the smirking face anymore.

Dirge, Thrust and Ramjet's animation models in Earthrise were based on the Siege mold.

IDW made lesser known Decepticon jets Seekers based on the Siege mold:

Nacelle, G2 Hooligan, G2 Spacecase and Robotmasters Wingstun. I'd love those repaints.

They could do another trine of Seekers by adding Hooligan and Spacecase's fellow Cyberjet Skyjack.

I'd love if they redid Hotlink in his Botcon colours so we could army build him as the generic purple Seekers from the cartoon. Oh and Skywarp at retail without the Targetmasters.

Yeah I haven’t seen anything on anymore ER mold uses which is a shame.

Hasbro was going to introduce a new voyager seeker mold with the release of the new Game Rise. Starscream would have had an F22 alt mode. The game is indefinitely delayed now and they’ve scrubbed their listings from order sheets so that fun.

The mold’s engineering is going to be used on legacy armada screamer though.

 

Damn that sucks, that would be/have been so cool to get Starscream again as an F-22 (while still being G1 looking probably).
