The fingers, wrists and forearms all look like different shades. Hardly a deal-breaker, but odd... I don't think it's like that on Starscream or Thundercracker.
Yes WinstoBot, a digital video camera using the snapshot button, not a recording. I'm no photographer so I don't know how to adjust cameras to photograph something exactly as the eye sees it. I will say that even in natural light the colour does change in real life as shadow or angle of the surface to the light can make the purple more bluish.
I think they are all like that, fingers aren't painted rest of the hand is. May just be the purple which is making a difference.
Hi all, wanted to clarify the invoicing process as i think some are new and aren't quite familiar with how our process works. To expedite shipments we invoice once we get notification of shipment from our distributors. We allow 10 days for payment (sometimes more in certain situations) from the date of the invoice. This allows our shipping team to begin shipments for paid orders once they arrive rather than wait for payments to come in after arrival. During normal shipping times we get items within a week or less of shipment, however it is not normal at the moment. Shipments are being broken up and delayed so estimating when they will arrive is a bit harder. We still invoice once we get notification it is on the way to us but when it gets here is not as clear at the moment. If anyone needs more time for payment, you can contact us and we would be more than happy to work with anyone who may need a little more time.
Anyone who preordered from RK actually have their order ship out from HK? I'm in Australia and got a tracking number, but I dont think my item has actually been scanned and left HK yet......

Transformed him and had a play around. Transformation is the same as TC/SS. Once again I slightly deformed the lower cockpit area when folding the nose backwards - I was extremely careful and tried all sorts of manoeuvres but ultimately the design of how the plastic rubs won again. The joints overall are tighter than TC and significantly more than SS. The knees are as ratchety as the other two but the play is tighter, so he is more stable with straight legs. The ankles are strong enough that I don't need to be careful balancing him when he stands vertical - place and forget. This is how the other two should have been. The forearm flaps close very tightly. I have this feeling that the tightness of SW over TC over SS has to do with the paint. SS seems thin in paint, or it might be my imagination. I tried SS's claw and drill hands and they didn't fit SW. SW's pegs are slightly too wide (incidentally one of the accessories doesn't fit on one of SS's hands but both fit on TC's). The fingers are noticeably different in shade and are indigo but I wouldn't call it jarring (SS and TC are noticeable too but not as much). Further paint checking shows a small charcoal grey blemish on the nose but no shoulder, forearm or hand blemishes. And no paint transfer. So, in terms of my copies of the MP52 mould, joints got better but I'm disappointed tail fin cracks persisted. And cosmetically, I don't think repaints get better necessarily - it's hit and miss. And that's it for me since I'm not buying any coneheads or other repaints. A chapter closed, and despite their flaws, a nice chapter closed.
Sorry, "slightly deformed the lower cockpit area?" Not sure I understand. Is this a common problem with the mold?

Got mine today, and boy that shade of purple is kinda hard to get right with my phone camera. Love that the faux cockpit is darker than the earlier promo pics.
That's a good photo. That's what it looks like. Maybes a slight shade darker. Though that could just be cos I'm in a darker room. Come around a bit more on the colour now. When you get thunder cracker out of the box it's like boom! Shabam! Blue!!! Skywarps a lot more muted but this makes the mould that little bit more malevolent. Like a crow. Is it mould or mold I'm never sure?
Oh and can anyone get it to hold the Megatron gun? Mine won't. Wondering whether it's worth finegaling some more or if that would be a futile endeavour.
