Nice! I didn’t pay much attention to the release of this one and missed any photos or videos that showed off the packaging, so cracking open that book style box I was like “Daaaaaaaaaammmmnn!” This was also a good reminder of why “Heavily damaged box” doesn’t deter me on Mandarake. In this case it’s a half inch tear at the edge of the slipcover.
Yes yes, that post from @borgified was the straw that broke the camel’s wallet. Much thanks to him for sharing that link.
Hahaha... So my enabling did pay off on you then. You did make the correct selection @Rewind and this version of the combo set in DX scale (1/48) is the pinnacle to any Macross collection.
It's a non-valk that's up for grabs this time and maybe hard to get. 1:7 Scaled Sheryl Nome: Gorgeous version for 25k yen (unopened, minor box damaged) Mandarake Online Shop Note: This statue is stinkin large in box and heavy so be aware of the shipping costs.
Not sure if this was posted, but got this little cool dude in a few days ago which I forgot all about.
I do think that is a bit more accurate shade of gold than the original, but it's still basically like 95% the same toy. I'm a big Nora fan, but plan to skip this. It still boggles me how they could sculpt so many new parts, yet not really make any changes.
It does look really nice but's been an expensive couple of months. At least Arcadia stuff usually sits for a while
Haven’t kept up with KC but are these 2.0s or just 1.5s? Macross VF-1S Valkyrie (Rick Hunter New Version) 1/72 Scale Figure Macross VF-1S Valkyrie (Roy Fokker New Version) 1/72 Scale Figure
I agree with @Happynick . Those appear to be the alleged improved versions. I’m real curious as to what will be improved. KC is close to having a nice alternative to Arcadia and Bandai products with these…if only they can address a few of the quibbles without jacking up the price any more.
Last of the Yamato 22s trifecta has arrived. One grail list complete for now. Now waiting for the eventual DX YF-21.
