IIRC the packaging was briefly displayed when these were first revealed, and it appeared that there were proper windows, though we didnt get a good look.

I understand hasbro wants to keep the toys under wraps until it's release time but they don't do a fff often enough to do that the last one was forever ago we've been looking at the same four deluxes since they got revealed but I guess they really hunkered down with the leaks because even jt isn't able to find much of anything new but no disrespect

The packaging looks neat. Lots of energy in it.
I was kinda hoping to see all angles of the designs to see if Dragstrip's box gave some clues to the combination with the other Stunticons.

I think it's gonna be like the packaging for Cybertron mode bumblebee with no plastic windows. Best bet to minimize exposure is to order online, I guess.

You think that's rough, Big W (the retailer carrying Beast Wars reissues here) wants $60 for Rattrap!

That's as much as three Core-class toys! I could buy a plague of Kingdom Rattrap for the cost of one spring-loaded one.

Hope that packaging has the plastic windows, especially with immature people going around right now and ripping the heads off of figures.

I jumped onboard the collection train after the first live action movie (so 2008-09?), so I still don't have a full modernized CHUG collection of the G1 cast (heck, I don't have a single '80s toys either, mom tossed them all out when I was in boarding school). Are people like me asking too much to want Hasbro to complete the cast in CHUG? I'm fine with the Legacy & Thrilling 30 take of mixing things up using a wide spectrum of TF series -- they bring TF fans of different age groups into collecting. What I don't like much is the endless reappearance of the major characters (you know, the OPs, Bees, SS, Megs, etc.) "reinvented" ad nauseam while the minor/post-G1 series characters not even getting a 2nd chance for decades.

Past BW, the toys mostly looks as seen on the cartoons because of CG and toy+animation design "synergy." And they got articulations and appearances that are still passable today, unlike most of G1 and BW toys. So Hasbro might not even felt the need to redo EVERYTHING for UT/TFA/TFP for example. Now, the modernized G1 cast is very close to completion (maybe a dozen or two missing in-toon characters?), so if Hasbro put a bit more effort into getting those out the door, then they will soon be forced to see past G1 and do some real "reinvention". So I don't see people that found "The G1 thing is getting kinda tiring and oversaturated" need to wait that long before getting their wishes.

I for one always welcome a mix of new and old characters. But for new characters, please don't do the Windblade way, THAT is a different kind of tiring and oversaturation... (and I DO like the character concept design & background!)

They've come to find COVID doesn't survive on those types of surfaces nearly as long as people originally thought.

You're putting yourself at greater risk simply going out to shop and breathing the air around people than you are touching stuff on shelves.

My problem is they keep reinventing CHUG. Hopefully they see it through this time and finish the cast. I worry we’ll be left missing some characters once they decide to retire this style and reinvent the line again.
