I had this happening with my Magnus, which I didn't really care about as I won't ever take it out of his armour.
That said, Nemesis Prime was perfectly fine.

Thanks all - the loosening of the screw under the grill got the windows flush, and after some heavy squeezing it (sorta) clicked into place. It's much better than it was (still not Magnus standard) but far easier on the eye. Appreciate the pointers/encouragement :)

Sure - so the main issue was that the front set of windows was titled at an angle because it couldn't come out far enough to sit flush with the windows behind.

So to fix this, you can unclip the grill - it's only held on by nubs and friction, and loosen the screw underneath to allow the windows to slide forward an extra few millimetres.

Once that's done, make sure to push the wheels back (there's a bit of give) and that should allow everything to sit flush, though honestly it's still not quite as solid as Magnus.

H27F is the “youth” version, which is the same mold, differences being the red and blue is all plastic instead of paint, and he comes with no trailer

TL;DR: Great job NA. Love him! Lots of fun to mess with and looks great.

Got my Optimus in yesterday so I had some time to mess around with him a bit and I LOVE him. It's SO much better than the DX9 Prime from the way back machine. I wonder if the same designer behind DX9 OP worked on the NA OP like how DX9 Devy's designer got to work on NA Devy. He's so much fun to pose and mess with!

In hand he looks amazing to me. The double chest is a non issue for me in person (I never really cared about it to begin with tbh) and everything else is amazing! The feet sticking out in truck mode is a little bleh but most Primes have the same problem, even TE OP which is my favorite MP Prime. Plus when you have the trailer attached (massive props to NA for the trailer attachment system that he and Magnus uses btw. I LOVE that they stay attached to the truck solidly), which I normally do in truck mode, it's even less of an issue.

He's a lot more solid than my Magnus core bot and doesn't really have any loose joints which is great. The transformation is a lot of fun too but I do think I'm gonna hold off on transforming him for a couple weeks to see if maybe the paint just needs time to bond to the plastic better to prevent chipping. I did the same thing with DS Starscream and after letting him sit for 2 weeks, I've never had any paint problems while transforming him.

Is there any bonus to the all plastic instead of paint? Does the finish look different?

The bonus is that it will be cheaper!

It will definitely look different, but how different we won't know until we get some good comparison pics.

TL;DR: Good paint is usually better looking if you care about display, bare plastic is more durable if you care about transforming and play.

One huge bonus is if you don't care about the way a painted figure looks vs bare colored plastic, you'll deal with no paint chipping. So if you're the kinda person who likes to really mess with your figure, transforming it back and forth a ton, playing with it, and posing it all the time, the look of the figure will hold up very well as opposed to painted.

One downside to bare plastic, is if you care about how a figure presents itself and displays rather than how fun it is to mess with, then a good paint job is always going to look much better. It usually ends up giving the figure a more premium look if done right. At the end of the day, you have to decide what's more important to you about a figure and go from there.

The "youth" version of Prime is still going to have paint on him in important areas so it's not going to be totally free of paint. The eyes will definitely still be painted. I'm not sure how the head is assembled but paint might be used to get the proper look. The lights might be painted, but maybe not. The grey on his sides is still going to be painted as they're not separate pieces. The yellow highlights on his hips will be painted still. The fuel cannisters, grill, and smokestacks might end up just being grey/silver plastic and not painted, not really sure there. The rest of it is most likely going to be the bare colored plastic.

If all that's fine to you, and you could care less about the trailer, I would honestly just pick up the "youth" version and save yourself some money, especially if you're at all interested in this mold, because I highly recommend getting him. He's great once you get him in hand. It's a very good figure. I'm honestly super tempted to use some of my ShowZ points and get the "youth" version even tho I already have the regular release.

Cheaper is always good with me! I will be interested to see the comparison pics when they become avail.

Very good info! im interested in purchasing both, but I already placed an order for the painted version the other day so I'll just wait to see what the reviews or pics look like on the youth version.

Got mine and I'm blown away by how good this turned out. This is definitely the version for me. One small thing but I really like how the trailer doors are easy to open, all the other legends trailers I felt like I needed tweezers.
