Update: pulse charged for him overnight.

 

Road Ranger & Puffer went back in stock on Pulse after the release, so I wonder why Jackpot is still sold out.

No that’s Jackpot. Rad is red, blue and grey. Though them both being action masters I can see the confusion.

Just got this guy in (family came through for Christmas) and I love him. He has issues, for sure, but so much fun. The colours? Perfect. The altmode? Perfect. The transformation? Almost perfect.
My issues are that the clear plastic brings a great transformation down a bit as I am a bit nervous when transforming him. His joints are loose in some places, too. Like one of his knees is so loose. And his head I guess, though that’s a non issue in hand, don’t even notice it, really. All in all a great figure imo.

 

You know, I wouldn't complain if they repainted Jackpot into Rad... Just as long as they don't use a misshaped head, lol.  

 

Honestly, Rad seems bikeish to me. If they ever have a deluxe mold that has the bike front on the chest I wouldn’t mind him from that.

 

Rad was meant to turn into a motorcycle before becoming an Action Master.

I say release a new bike mold that can double as both Rad, and a G1 version of Animated Prowl, since the wheel and headlight end up in about the same place. If they make it skew more to Animated Prowl and just give him Rad's Head (for the Rad release of course) I'm cool with that.

And just echoing other thoughts/comments in this thread, but I would really like it if they would make a bunch more of these "updated Action Masters". I always really liked those designs, I loved my toy Kick-Off as a kid, and also really liked the alternate colors on Action Master Starscream and Megatron (with the extra purple instead of black). My short list would probably be Axer, Kick-Off, Over-Run, Powerflash, Sprocket, Take-Off, and Treadshot. I know they would probably have to stretch for some molds, but I feel like there's enough WFC figures that with a little retooling, they could probably make a decent "Action Master" subline or at least maybe a 4-pack...

But alas, there's so many "untapped potential" projects that Hasbro is just ignoring these days--so many Seeker molds that haven't been used to the fullest like the SS Bee mold and the Cyberverse Deluxe mold--it's a shame, but I feel like this would probably be something Hasbro won't ever get around to... we'll see...

 

I would, because the Datsun tooling is right there! Look at those headlights. Jazz's blockier front would be a mismatch.

On my Actionmasters shelf (some customs), hopefully will get some more official versions like Jackpot!

 

Mine came in today, and by some absolute god damn miracle his head is more or less perfectly alligned. The right side sticks out a little bit more forward, but not very much. Barely noticable actually.

 

Damn, that's incredibly lucky! I'm glad someone got a good one.
