Yeah, plus I'm pretty sure the Womprats are in Ep. IV, ever since the Special Ed. changes -- they are seen running when Luke's speeder enters Mos Eisley, I think.

Right. The only way it makes sense is if she was in hiding with the Tuskens at the time. But it does strain things to believe they would both end up in the same Tusken village. But hey, this is Star Wars -- Yoda knew Chewbacca in the Clone Wars, for some reason, so why not?

I bet this wookie can do more than just rip arms off. Definately want a Black Series figure of him.

I’m really hoping with the latest episode’s big cameo that a certain pair of similarly colored droids are now fair game for this or any other Disney+ Star Wars show.

Besides Rotta, I would have loved it if the other Hutt staking a claim to Jabba's empire was Graballa, with Dana Snyder's voice.

This does remind me of the very old Legends material where the one that tried succeeding Jabba was his own father, Zorba the Hutt.

Are those twins conjoined? Cause they sure look like it.

Man, having to carry two of those things. Makes me think of that Prince of Persia scene….

Episode 2 picks things up nicely. I'm enjoying the world and character building so far.

I'm sure some aren't who aren't fond of the "Dances with Tusken Raiders" angle that Boba's post RotJ backstory has but I don't mind it. I like how he earns trust through his competence as well as his grit. I really like how his clothing is explained as the being earned from his time with the Tusken Raider.

I really enjoyed the montage of the crafting of his gaderffii. Once I saw the draw knife, I was super pleased. Anyone who is into woodworking can probably relate to the feeling of seeing stuff like this in popular media. The metalworking was nice too, as a smithing enthusiast it's always good to see nods and references to metalworking. I did find it interesting that no quenching was shown but I imagine that due to the scarcity of water on Tatooine, water quenching wouldn't be employed. Oil quenching is an option but who knows how difficult it is to acquire oil on the planet. Then there's also the possibility of "space metal" not requiring quenching post hardening.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the season unfolds. I still hope that Boba Fett doesn't turn out to be either too sanitized or too try-hard badass.

I can get on board with what I assume is the implication of Boba's childhood and subsequent life post Jango death creating the Boba Fett we've seen so far in the Favreau-Filoni SW work. I've never gotten into much of the EU material so I don't know what was done with the character outside of his brief appearances in the OT. All I know is that he was a feared and deadly bounty hunter. So I'm open to seeing what develops and is revealed in this series for the character.

Am I the only one who cracked up when I realised that the Hutt was mopping his brow with what looked like an alien guinea pig?

    The live-action debut of
Black Krrsantan makes me wonder if the Disney+ Star Wars team is looking to cast a live-action Doctor Aphra in the near-future.

Yeah, this is the first time I actually am interested in the Tuskens. So interesting.
Yeah, this was so cool to see him there. Even if I haven't read the comics I know of him and it was just cool to see.
Also the 2 have a connection so it's cool he's in BOBF f28cfc24d3054acc93788430a27cb5cc.jpg

Really wish this was all being told chronologically.

How cool would Episode 1 have been if it was just the Sarlaac escape and the Tusken Raider stuff from these first two episodes stitched together with no gangster stuff getting in the way?

    Although that Wookie was bad-ass.

I liked E2 much better then the first since it shows Boba being a badass in the flashback and getting his garb and stick, but Disney should have premiered with 2 episodes like Hawkeye to flesh out his backstory. I do hope going forward we get less flashbacks sicne here showed alot in the first 2 episodes. It is strange the Raiders wearing so much black in the desert though, and the female black ninja Raider is a badass.

Watched the episode before work this morning, and really loved it. I did like the first episode quite a bit, but this was definitely a major step up. This feels more in-line with a good Mandalorian episode, while still retaining a somewhat distinct feel.

It's nice to have an episode with a longer runtime. I actually thought my theory about the first episode being divided in two was true until I saw a different director's name in the credits. This very much felt like a part 2 of that episode.

I like Boba's journey of being accepted by the Tusken Raiders. This episode was a lot funner than the first, and also felt more important. Boba creating his Gaffi Stick was a neat moment of worldbuilding, as was the hallucination lizard (nice to see some more Kamino flashbacks, although I do hope to see at least one proper flashback scene with Jango and young Boba instead of quick flashes). I really loved the training scene involving the speeder bikes.

The train heist was super fun. That concept was neat in Solo, but it just felt meh because the rest of the movie was so bland. I was way more invested in the motivation here, and it was also nice to see it in a proper Western environment instead of the snow. The engineer droid was a fun quirky touch.

It was cool to see more Hutts, as iconic as Jabba is we really haven't seen very many Hutts in live-action. And that black-furred Wookie was a really neat design. I'm not familiar with that character from the comics, but I hope to see more of him. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen a villain Wookie before.

If I had to make a complaint, this episode was a bit derivative of stuff we've seen. Aside from the similar train heist in Solo, this was basically the same plot as The Marshal and Sanctuary...the hero trains a village to protect themselves against a bigger threat. Yeah, I get there are probably only a handful of Western plots, but there were a few moments where I was feeling like I'd seen it before. It was done well though, so I can't complain much.

And like the first episode, I think there could have been a bit more present day stuff. I'm hoping this balances out later in the season, because it's hard to get too invested in that plot when we're not really getting much of it. In a way that stuff comes across like filler, with the flashbacks being the real meat of the story. Which is a weird structure, although not inherently bad. I am confident that it'll all come together in a satisfying way.

It crossed my mind watching this episode that this is the first time we're really getting a feel for who Boba Fett is on-screen. Which seems obvious, but it's kind of surreal seeing it play out, considering how hyped up this character has been for the past several decades.

So yeah, overall I thought it was a really solid episode. I'm looking forward to seeing where things go next, it feels like they're building up to some really cool stuff.

2nd time actually, Boba got a decent bit of screen time in parts of clone wars, but those were also his angst filled years
