That was over two weeks ago. I've talked in this thread since then, I even posted last page about how "I got an update on the 18th."

But thanks for reiterating what I was asking about. :D

Cacus update: Two more weeks for parts according to TCP.

A hellish transformation, but a hell of an alt-mode too ;)

So the only issue I have with mine is that the eye LEDs won’t turn off. I have to remove the battery.

It’s not a big problem on its own but its annoying because it’s the 3rd figure from ShowZ in a row that has had a QC issue and the second one where eye LEDs don’t work.

That photo definitely makes me second guess my decision to pass on it.

Thanks buddy. If it makes you feel better, the robot mode is littered with tolerance issues. But otherwise really cool looking. The dinosaur mode is perfect.

Yeah, I still am not willing to pay this much for something so dicey. But it’s such a shame. It’s the figure I was most anticipating all of 2021. Looks so amazing in both modes. Such a bitter disappointment.

Well at least there's gonna be another version of this figure this year.

Not exactly no, but I'm sure it's coming especially with stuff like this.

Since the problem is tolerance and QC, not the deco, I’m going to very regretfully pass on this unless they’ve worked on those issues.

Naturally, I'm expecting and feel like this version to have fix's done since they know about some of the problems and can fix them with this second version

The issues are more tolerances and the packaging more than QC. So I hope they don't simply ship it in a plastic clamshell for the next version.

Has there been any instances when a company has adjusted tolerances does a reissue/redeco? Maybe QC, but tolerances would involve adjusting the mold, which is hugely expensive. I’m not aware of any instances. I hope you’re right. I’ll eagerly but it is they do, but I’m not holding my breath.

if a simple plastic clamshell can break off the arm, doesn’t that suggest there are some engineering issues? Didn’t some people have pins that missed the pinhole when inserted?

sorry, I don’t want to be a contrarian, but I’m not seeing how the problems are so easily fixed.

No it means that there's far too little protection for such a large and heavy package during transit that it's far more likely to break.

It's why other big bots get the foam encasing like Gigapower Grimlock, JJ Megatron, or Planet X's Trypticon.

But the issue is strange though. Every figure that comes broken breaks at the same spot and same arm. You would think there would be some breakage with the other arm.

I hope you’re right. if a redeco come out, I’ll be eagerly awaiting reviews and reports to see if the problems are solved. If so, I’ll be snapping it up so fast it’ll make Cacus’ head spin.

Might be a time will tell kinda thing, but it is definitely odd.

Tho, maybe it's an assembly problem? IE, maybe there's more force applied in attaching the first or the second arm?
