It's a bummer that with a figure as good as Tigatron out there now they're not doing their "Year of the ____" figures anymore.

 

That was incredible!

We tend to think only of ourselves and what we have when we discuss Transformers and points of view but we usually only think of Asia as this giant factory that produces our figures and think nothing of it. Here, these musicians crafted a beautiful cover of a simple song and there was so much sophistication and work put into it. They really do love Transformers over there, that's incredible. I'm glad people all over the world get to enjoy these and have fun with them.

This, this, this. There’s also the second layer of it being kind of amusing, this traditional Chinese cover of a song written by an American ad agency, but overall, yes, this is gorgeous.

That is surprising on point for a theme composed for a radically different set of instruments being played on instruments invented centuries or even more than a millennium before the piece of music was conceived.

 

I like that flute that comes in at 11 seconds.

I dig non-traditional covers of songs.

 

For those that don't know Transformers was one of the few western shows/movies allowed in China in the 80's. They never even had Star Wars back then! So, there are a lot of TF fans in China. It helps to explain the 3rd party strength there.
