Rezzing an old thread here, but for good cause. This isn't my auction, but I rarely see this figure for sale, and I know several people want this - here's an eBay auction for a decent price at the moment.

 

If anyone is looking for the complete set i have one i bought to get the mfb rifle then tfsource got a shipment in after i ordered so ordered extra gun. Both boxes still sealed. Sell it in the us for 140 shipped to recoop my expenses to acquire it the first time.

 

I just won this set for $83! Not too bad of a mark-up for an old out of print set. Finally starting to grow my MTMTE collection.

Really only got the set for this guy, and it was definitely worth it. Didn't know how much I'd like him until I had him in hand, he's just a fun little figure that oozes character. The headsculpt isn't 100% accurate, but it works and I like it.

 

Has anyone else had a slight pink discoloration on Swerve's inner thigh? I'd just say sun, but he's completely out of sunlight. I'd also assume somehow the red would've gotten rubbed off on it, but I just don't know

 

Is this what you're referring to? Mine out of box has some reddish pink discoloration on the feet and hips. It's a bit annoying since I literally just got them; wondering what can be done about it.

 

I think that's what's called "paint bleed". I also observed this in my Maketoys Quantron. It's red also transferred to a white plastic tray I left some of its parts on. Seems to only happen with red plastics upon contact with white.

Sorry about that. I used my phone (while the net connection was sluggish) in the the previous post I and I'm still getting used to it. I have no idea how I quoted your post from its parent thread. Must be from the autocorrect or some other feature I wasn't aware of.

If you swap in the head from the Hasbro version, it's perfect.

 

Holy schnitzel! I've owned both of these for years now and it never crossed my mind to try this. Looks great, kudos!  

 

Was it an easy swap? Any mods? Might have to do this myself.

 

I had to cut off Swerve's head and drill a hole in it with a couple drill bits. I think I drilled a small hole in first, then used a small ball tipped drill bit with my dremel. It fit very well.

 

Saw that this was restocked at TFSource the other day so sharing since it's gotten rare and fairly sought-after. It's just Trash-Talk loose with all of its individual accessories. At first it was listed at $15 and as of yesterday it was bumped to $36 which makes more sense considering the set with Cogwheel was originally $60. I ordered a few when they first went up.

Waited a few days to post to make sure friends got theirs now sharing. No idea of how many are actually in stock.

I did notice that the ones I bought from this restock had what looks like red overspray on the top of the hips and the feet. I'll post pics of that when I get a chance. Makes me wonder if they're factory error pieces?

My copy also has that I believe; some white bits have a bit of a pinker hue to it? I bought mine as the Swerve and Gears set from robotoybase last year, so I assume items a factory thing.

 

Very weird. My set from back when and the set I recently bought at TFCon don't have it at ALL. I don't know if it's a good or bad thing that this issue has been spread over the years.

 

I got mine in 2018-ish, and it too has the pinkish hue on some parts. Mine was also a part of the two-pack and not a stand-alone Swerve.


Also, great to see a small number come back in stock! This is one of the best 3P figures out there IMO. Hope everyone who snagged one loves it!

Separately, huge shoutout to Agabyss at TFCon Reston in 2019 for having the MFB accessory set still available. That was the one thing I needed to complete my Swerve. Did this standalone Trash Talk come with it?
