I bought a new car. Well, technically I pre-ordered one and put a sizable down-payment on it. I thought waiting for pre-orders for figures was bad. This is almost maddening. They said it would be in by the 10th, so every day I have my phone right next to me waiting for that call.
My dad used to order his own company car every two years. Literally was given a budget and a dealership to go to and place the order. They'd send the order to GM, then have to wait for it to be built. I think it was something like six months at the time. THAT was maddening. I can't imagine doing that today.
Congratulations! And that new car smell. Good to hear there are no major delays like we have in Australia.
How the hell do you "preorder" a car? that doesnt make sense. You buy a car at a car dealership and thats it.
Chip shortages caused a shortage of new vehicles. Some are in transit to dealerships, and they essentially allow customers to pre-order them. When the cars arrive, they call the customer to come in and sign the papers. Simple concept, but on a bigger scale. Edit: I was supposed to get the car this coming Monday, but it was now delayed until the 24th. *sigh There isn't even a single one available in the tri-state area, either as a back-up. Guess I have to wait longer now.
Thanks. I'm generally a very patient person, but this frustrated me a bit. And yeah, I have a 2016 Elantra GT that's paid off, but is having exhaust issues. Nothing severe or detrimental, but I want to park it and fix it up before I give it to my daughter.
I got a controller for my Switch but I fear I may have hornswaggled myself. Its a Pokemon one and it had all the Switch livery but I didn't notice it was a 3rd Party controller rather than a proper Nintendo one. So the controller more or less works fine, certainly more comfortable than using the joycons in their mount unit, but the Home button won't wake the console up. Although I do wonder if its a setting on the console itself similar to a PC having 'Wake on LAN' turned on or off, that I need to find to make sure the USB connection remains active even in sleep.
Its been like 2 or 3 months since I last got a cartridge of printer ink for my PC. Pretty soon next month I need to buy a cartridge of printer ink the number 61 or at least splurge on a multi ink color printer ink. I print off alot of stuff whether its a small or full page of videogame tips for Final Fantasy IX or printing off a print sheet of my renters insurance or something
