How many of you broke the tail clips at the thickest section of the tail? Why do they seem so fragile? I have not but the stress on it is visible... Any ideas on how to keep it safe?

Okay ouch yeah that sucks. I'd give it the heat treatment. Use a blow dryer on it from a good distance, not "too" close and it should get rid of the stress marks.

It's being caused by the mold itself. The shell of the tail tends to 'cave' in and needs to be expanded, which it will over time if you leave him in Trex mode

Is the "heat treatment" method that easy? Is it something you can visibly see as it gets rid of the stress marks? I have never done it before so how can I mess it up?

Search up a youtube tutorial, it would do the method justice more than I can

Are you telling me that i'm making a mistake leaving him in dino mode? Cuz it'd be a shame if I transform him one day just for the peg t0 break. He's been in dino mode for months now btw

Oh no, you have the right idea leaving him in Dino mode. I noticed some of my parts were way too tight on my copy. I couldn’t flip his toes inward because his thighs were too narrow. After keeping him in Dino mode for longer periods of time the problems seem to correct themselves

Interesting. I got a stress fracture on the sword weapon. I may have to try that. If I can find the right bolt size that goes in the forearms I'd have a complete Vulcan that ended up getting for free. He was misassembled and missing half the bolts in his arm and bbts didn't want it back after the pics and refunded my money. Was finally able to get apart and assemble it right with a specialty watch repair tool set. If I can fix sword he'd finally replace my foc t30s grimlock

I've had problems with just about all my planet x figures due to weak plastic
It's sad they are my absolute favorite but I just cannot buy them anymore
I'm now basically selling a planet x junk lot

    3rd party everything must go!

A little off topic (and probably not worth the bump) but I thought this was worth sharing for those that are collecting the metallic version of the Dinobots, and were either worried or wondering where the other Dinos are. Someone asked and got a rely

You know what? I think once I've built a PC I'll buy this guy and Planet X Pluto (Megatron). (both metallic BTW)
Is that a good decision? I love the games so much and Megatron and Grimlock are my favorite transformers and these figures are based on my favorite designs for them. I already own PX-11 Apocalypse (Trypticon) and it is glorious! are these figures worth it?

Vulcan is pretty great, he is my single most expensive toy(excluding titans) and worth the money. The dino mode is sooo expressive and possible. It's not hard to get him looking ready munch metal. Robot mode is darn imposing too. He IS a bit short for normal sunbow cartoon scale if that matters at all for you.

Just got mine in the mail.

First time with this mold after hearing so much about it (“best Grimlock,” “best Planet X,” “best Transformer”), and I gotta say, I kinda spoiled myself by playing with the likes of Cacus, Gigapower, and Fans Toys dinobots first. It’s great, but it feels like a high-end mainline release. Like, pretty standard-feeling plastic and articulation. Closest comparison in my collection might be something like MMC Spartan. Nice and chunky, ahead of its time upon release, but I miss things like an ab crunch or articulated fingers. Still, grateful for the price ($65 before shipping/tax).
