Actually I believe birds and cats do have bicep muscles.

*(technically they're robots so they don't have bicep "muscles")

Either way neither has any less bicep swivel than FT frumbles

Everyone is so technical here :D .

I love it. Fits my level of sarcastic humor perfectly.

    Don't ask me what's intelligent......

.....I spend shit loads of money buying toys from a cartoon that was only on the air for a few years, decades ago, and spend my days rabidly fighting over every minor detail with people I have never met .........

    ..

    ..............and RUMBLE IS FUCKIN BLUE!!!

Apparently like a lot of other people, I got my Cassetticons today as well! I have to say, overall, they are fantastic! But figured I would post some pics and give a brief rundown on my thoughts and opinions.

    Cons

Articulation. I can see why people complain about the limited articulation. I get understand WHY it's limited, and I'm not complaining about it personally. There's always trade offs somewhere, but I can also see why people say they could have a little more articulation.

Proportions. Somewhat related to articulation, is the Proportions of Frenzy and Rumble, particularly their arms. But it's really due to transformation, and it's not a huge deal, but they look funky from some angles and poses.

Tight joints. Some of the transformation joints on my set were extremely tight. I was almost scared to move some parts because they seemed stuck and I thought they would break.

SMALL parts!! Some of the ball peg joints and hinge joints consist of tiny plastic parts. BE CAREFUL!

Lazerbeak's jet packs sit crooked on mine like everyone else's. I can only assume this is on purpose for some reason? Maybe to help them lign up in tape mode? I wish they had used some pegs to force them to sit straight in bot mode. Also, I've thus far managed to accidentally pull Rumble's very blue leg (because Rumble freaking BLUE) off the mushroom peg. Never had a problem with my Frenzy. So maybe my leg joint on Rumble is loose, but it feels tight when posing. I don't know...

    Pros:

They feel very high quality in hand. The sheer amount of die-cast in these is insane. It gives a very heavy, solid feel in hand. I think all plastic would have made them feel cheap and flimsy.

They really pull off the toon accurate look well. Just like Acoustic Wave, they each look like they jumped off the screen. Maybe not as much as Acoustic Wave due to limitations in the engineering, because of their small size. But, damn, do they look good.

The paint is just beautifully done. My copies are flawless, and the paint looks deep and gorgeous.

Even though articulation is limited, I think you can pull off some really cool poses with them. For example I love Frenzy (who is RED) sitting on Soundwave's shoulder and cheering. And just the little head swivel on Ravage brings him to life. The face sculpts and the poses give these little guys big shelf presence and even bigger personality.

One thing I wish was different is Rumble's color. (Rumble Is BLUE ). While the paint is beautifully done, it seems too dark and saturated for him. In my mind, Rumble was always more of a pale purple and blue. This figure is very dark and saturated. But that is strictly MY opinion, and is nit picking quite a bit.

Overall, I highly recommend these guys. They just complete Soundwave, and it's fun seeing them poking out around the larger figures on the shelf.

Is it likely that Buzzsaw will either come with or be part of a possible 2nd tape set (Ratbat, Slugfest, Overkill) for a RP/FT Soundblaster?

As much as I'd like to see Beatbox and Squawktalk from FT as well as the other lesser known tapes, I think they are going to go with the more recognized ones first.

Since Buzzsaw was in the cartoon I would bet on him coming in the future in some fashion.

But he will be an Amazon exclusive in limited supply. And he will be paired with an other figure you've probably never heard of and wouldn't want anyway. But It will cost twice as much, because of it.

Oh...wait...that's HasTak that does that, nevermind...

That's normal, at least, I know it's not a bad thing if it happens. I disassembled Frenzy to repaint him and separating the thighs at that mushroom peg is fine. It goes on and off with no issues, still tight as ever too. Only the hips with those small pin joints are ever a problem.

I knew it didn't break anything. I mean, I didn't know it at first. At first I pooped a little.

So I got my tapes today. Don't have Accoustic Wave. What am I doing wrong when transforming Rumble here? I can't get the legs unfolded properly. Help! 20220103_184549.jpg

It's really hard to explain. You almost have to fold inward more then they will release back out.

Watch a few YouTube videos and they actually show you.
