Oh I have no doubt! I have like 7-8 fans hobby figures and I love them all. I think I’m just not sure I care about Armada that much. I was into it when that was like all we had for modern representation but looking back I don’t know if I need MP style versions. Tidal Wave is so cool though and the combining elements are definitely awesome from a toy perspective. Ugh torn.

 

They were meant to be CHUG size, but then TakTom teased their own Armada Prime, and shortly after that tease Fans Hobby upped theirs to MP scale.

Coincidence? You decide.  

 

Unfortunately, the Takara one still hasn’t come to be. I’ll definitely get it if it does, hopefully in Legacy.

 

The game screens REALLY stand out, so it would not surprise me if that is the lasting image many people have of Tidal Wave over relatively limited appearances in the cartoon. I also suspect that many people who played the game spent a long time stuck on that level seeing his size there constantly.

 

Leakers have said that that one has been scrapped. So if an Armada Prime does come out, it won't be the one seen back in 2019.

 

“Indefinitely shelved” I believe it was, which is so annoying. That being said I hope the popularity of the Beast Wars stuff lately will open Hasbro up to UT designs, and maybe third party can finally move away from G1.

It is likely things like this figure that are more likely to push or hold back Hasbro on UT. If they see people spending hundreds of dollars on these 3P figures why will want a piece of that money.

Man, I hadn't even considered that I might be interested in multiple decos here. I have so much nostalgia for the original tidal wave. Might need a couple decos.

 

That original color scheme I would love, but at the same time I’m just screaming the ps2 game colors! it’s such a iconic look

 

I'd be perfectly fine if the first release was any of the three. Think all of them are great.

I definitely want the purple "Micron Legend Shockwave" colors. I skipped the regular U.S. release when Armada was out and sprung for that one instead--had him all these years. Those are the colors in the show, and he looks so much better that way.

I'm sure they'll do at least the U.S. and Japanese colors schemes. But I know which one I'm getting.
