Great... so I'm quoting myself now.

Anyhoo... as noted above, I ordered KO-44 Silverpants on 14 December 2021 from Show.Z, and on 28 December, guess who arrived?!



From order to arrival, 14 days... not bad Show.Z!!

And he's really a fantastic looking figure!! He scratches my acute itch for a very toon-accurate figure, while having metallic legs as I had envisioned Optimus Prime would have if such an entity existed.



I had no idea that K0-44 Silverpants would come with the red metallic Autobots insignia. Quite the nice touch! And I wasted no time putting the Autobot insignia on my Silverpants... or knocking out some iconic poses!!





I also own TE-01 Op Leader. Transform Element's Prime offering is a great looking Optimus Prime, and a fine alternative to MP-44. But, his legs are white, and his thighs have no 'turn-out' capability.

So, a pose like this just looks painful.



Not so on Silverpants! It looks instantly ICONIC!!!



But, I think I might like the TE-01 Season 2 Head just a bit more than the head of my KO-44 Silverpants.

I think about switching them out. I also think about trying to paint the mouthplate silver, to match the pants. Not sure though...

I think TE-01 might be a hair taller than KO-44. But, I still like Silverpants height. He can see eye-to-eye with Megatron, and get up in his grill so that's what matters!




And he really looks amazing with many of the recently updated masterpiece-scale figures like Deformation Space's Crimson Wings, and Robot Paradise's Acoustic Wave!




And now the Silver Leg Squadron!



As noted, he is slightly shorter than the other masterpiece-scaled Optimus Primes that I own. But I think KO-44 still aligns to where he should fit with the overall masterpiece-scale continuity.



So what can I say? At $94.00 USD, Silverpants seems like a winner! And I haven't been able to put this figure down since freeing him from Show.Z's packaging!!

But, I plan to treat him with delicate kid-gloves since I've read about a number of paranoia-inducing issues.

I probably won't be transforming KO-44 since I don't feel the need to beat my head against the wall, or start biting my nails... and I've got MP-10 when I feel the need for Optimus Prime's alt-mode!



KO-44 Silverpants really nails it for me! And it makes apparent how badly we need a new MP Prowl, Bluestreak, and Sideswipe... especially Sideswipe!!



And... Silverpants prompted me to finally remove the side-skirts from my Ratchet and Ironhide!! That's inspiration right there!!

Any idea how they managed to slim down the backpack?! Sorry, been absent from this thread for a while. I searched and looked back a few pages and didn't see mention of this. If it's been discussed let me know.

 

Well it's not impossible, as I remember seeing WIP customs that took out the electronics and made the backpack much smaller from a while back. Although that image itself does make it a bit hard to make out.

 

They just removed the electronic...

 

Are they going to reissue the white leg prime?

 

I realize that, but that big backpack pack fills in a big space in truck mode. Trying to figure out how they make the smaller backpack transform properly.

 

Now I'm really interested!

 

Oh my bad! I think they probably manage to make that backpack fold on its own. I don't know if that makes sense...

 

I think we all know we need a white legs reissue.

And an oversized MP-44 to go with MPP-10 :-D

 

But the real question is,

I am getting really tempted into buying this. Been feeling the itch for a MP Prime, and it's good to hear they sorted out the QC issues on these.

Also holy shit the windows on that Transform Element are beautiful. That's how you do the cartoon but still translucent look. Rest of the figure I'm eh on but that looks amazing.

 

Not the main QC issue. They need to make the plastic better for ratchets to work properly.

 

Looking into buying a damaged MP44 (non KO, I really want that trailer!). Never had one before. How bad does this look and can I maybe use KO parts to fix him? Not even sure what that second pic is showing. Only damage mentioned is the wiper area.

 

That thing would be horrendous to transform  

 

Like, bigger than MP01? Actual truck size maybe?

 

@marioxb like Lewin Resources OS OS MPP10...I had to transform him like holding a toddler. This one would be all kinds of jank and shenanigans.
