    This.

If JRo wrote it, I'd probably sleep with it under my pillow.

Would read it because I am interested in worldbuilding in general and Functionism in particular. It would necessarily provide a lot of info about pre-war Cybertron as well as the life of a miner in that time.

I get the impression that, from an in universe standpoint and the hindsight of the Great War...that it would read about as pleasantly as any manifesto and/or journal written by a genocidal dictator. Full of shit that, in hindsight, makes anyone with enough braincells (or whatever the cybertronian equivalent is, anyway) ask themselves why the hell nobody ever saw coming this guy turning into a genocidal maniac. I'd make comparisons to real life, but those are against the rules and beside you know damn well what type of books I am referencing.

I mean, come on. You know it would read exactly like that. So its probably a lot more interesting (again, in universe) as a period piece and something you analyze in hindsight.

That's not what the excerpt we saw in canon read like at all.

It was a bigger plot point that miner Megatron was a genuine good guy who was corrupted by violence, attempted brainwashing, losses and desperation later. That's why Autobot Megs wanted to become that guy again. He didn't want to become a new type of hero, he wanted to turn back to be the pacifist Orion was looking up to.

How cool would it be if Skybound got the TF license and Towards Peace was the first comic of that line?

Assuming Roberts or someone who can get into that characterisation wrote it, that would be awesome!

But...nobody wants Mein Kampf: the Comic Book.

I don't think I'd want to read a full length book or anything, but a short maybe 20 something pages version would be a maybe. Roberts lost a lot of points with me as a writer with the mostly lackluster Lost Light comics, and Eugenesis wasn't particularly impressive either. I'd be more eager if Nick Roche wrote it.

100%. That could be a great addition to the mythology.
