The non-show Maximals had some neat, underrated figures

EDIT: I also kinda liked the first deluxe Primal, too. The mega Rattrap was too bad either.

 

Nightviper is VERY impressive for his size.

 

I'm actually displaying my Beast Machinese Scavenger drone with some current era Legends toys at the moment.
But over all i'd say there was lots of nice 1990's scout/Basic class toys to admire.
One could argue the Vehicons still work just fine due the general weirdness of a lot of Cybetronian designs they fit in pretty well.

As for the look of the figures - I like that "Iron Factory" kinda look, & and the advantage of it is it leaves the door open for someone to try other styles like a more G1 or more Zoid look in the smaller scale in future.

 

Yeah....I owned none of the BM Maximals during the run of the show. Just not my style. Didn't help I never liked the show. And I really tried.

I actually did end up buying the blast punch Primal (I think that's what they called it--the more accurate voyager) for a subplot I never got to when I was still making a webcomic years ago. Basically he's in a bad place mentally, eventually freed, and converts back to his Optimal form, "back to normal."

Hate me.

Besides that one Maximal, I did get quite a few of the Vehicons, especially the updated Tankor and Thrust figures. The ultra class Jetstorm was pretty cool, and Spystreak was my favorite. Really wish that one was larger.

Universe 1.0 was helpful. Picked up the Obsidian/Tankor two-pack during that run. Definitely the best Obsidian paint scheme. Another figure that deserved a larger toy.


As "stylish" goes, I like Iron Factory and Cang for sure. Just let them keep doing what they're doing.

[EDIT] Realized I also bought T-Wrecks, and I ended up winning the four Deluxe BM Dinobot figures at the 2000 Ft. Wayne Botcon through the figure assembly contest. Good figures. I guess they count, even if they are BW Neo repaints.

Guy was in transit forever - that's what I get for ordering a toy in December - but finally arrived today. Freakin' love him! No idea where I'm going to put him, though, since he doesn't fit in any of my collection niches and I don't have space anywhere else.

 

You are going to put him in predakings shoulder, that's where!

 

Put him in Beast Mode and clamp his claws down on a lamp or computer monitor or something, that seems to be the popular way to store him while we wait for more members.

Looks like it’ll be about the same size as full sized Firmament when they are all combined.

 

It's about the same height as the MP Landbull, and probably the rest of the limb bots, there was a picture of it next to a gold special edition of Landbull.

 

Hadn't seen the full combined mode picture yet. If I wasn't sold before (I was) I would be now. Dang!

 

I could have happily gone my whole life without seeing those pictures.
