You're not wrong (about anything, lol), this set is quite good. Even the side build looks really pretty to me. And yes... Spoiler A butt.
Try using the Lego Instructions app when you build. You can set up your tablet where you can see it, and maybe that will be less leaning forward to look at instructions lying flat on the table. We use the app simply because it's nice to have the instructions upright while building.
I haven't heard anything since the initial October leak. No images or anything yet, but if they are indeed coming March 1 then we should see something soon. I finally got around to moving Hogwarts from my bar to another permanent shelf location, and super happy with it. A few weeks ago I picked up the last smaller 5th set. Figured out a nice way to incooperate that into the sets. I had to cram the womping willow in there a bit, but still fits. I wanted to keep it as movie accurate as possible, its down behind the clock tower in the movies. (Or rather in front since the clock tower also faces the other way) I wall mounted the car to an L-bracket (on an angle) so it looks like it's flying. I just pushed the L-bracket into the front wheel well. I think of the kids may have lost a spire though, gonna have to double check that.
See the 3 in 1 castle really just makes me wish Lego would do another castle theme. I can’t believe they don’t run them like an evergreen line anymore. Some of my all time favorite sets were castle sets. Are there any rumors of anything castle themed for 2022?
Well Lego Ideas had a vote running around February where fans were to vote on which theme would get a set to represent the 90th anniversary of the brand. There’s been no updates on it since, but the themes that were headed to the final round of voting were Castle, Pirates, Space, and Bionicle if I remember correctly. On paper Bionicle had received the most votes, but LEGO made a change to allow Castle’s multiple sub themes over the years to be counted together, putting Castle at the top. Results of this contest are supposed to be announced sometime in 2022. Personally I’d like to see a new Bionicle set, but it seems likely Castle is gonna come out on top.
A worker at Target sold me this polybag that's street dated Jan. 1st for $2 even though I mentioned they're usually $5. Told him it was cool if they can't sell it. Pretty cool fella.
Got the iron man head built. Had to modify it a bit. Where you put the forehead on it would not fit. After many different attempts, i had to add 4 1x1 round studs to the parts you attach it to. Removed a bar from the top that got in the way as well. Still looks great.
Looking forward to picking up the Sonic set tonight. The creator said on Twitter that they're working on releasing instructions for alternate builds.
Well, the only set I was camping out for (sunflowers) didn’t go up last night and still isn’t available. *sigh*
According to eurobricks leaker HothRebel and GreekBricks on instagram, both James Cameron's Avatar 2 (blue cat aliens) and Indiana Jones sets are coming in the second half of the year.
Indiana Jones I’d heard about but was iffy on considering some of the content, but Avatar is new to me. Interesting choice. Looking forward to both and hoping they turn out to be true.
the lion is a $20 set. the Tiger is a $50 set. The bear hasn't been done yet. oh my. but anyway, I figure the tiger is 2x the size of the lion, just by piece count. if this trend continues the bear would have to be $100, stand on its hind legs, and come with a hat, tie, and picanic basket, and maybe a sidekick that tries to be the voice of reason.
I'm more surprised to hear Avatar 2 is coming out this year . Completely forgot about that movie... Went to the Lego Store today and nabbed everything I was interested in. Creator Tiger, Zane's Mech EVO, and Monster Jam Megalodon. I plan on scrapping Megalodon for parts, but I think I'll still build it to have some fun with a neat shark truck and check out the pull back motor.
