I absolutely love these Trumpeter kits. I greatly anticipate their Wheeljack, definitely going to be a must-have for me.

Which doesn't help given Cliffjumper has no holding hands.

You take away the wheels and you wouldn\'t even know this turned into a vehicle.  It just some other plain robot.

I bought and returned a bad QC (the chest parts were stuck so I can't collapse them for alt mode) SS Cliffjumper. Left a bad impression about fit & finish (especially the legs) too. I was happy to just have BBB movie characters that appeared on Earth. I also thought Hasbro won't bother doing the Cybertron opening characters except CJ & SS/Thrust molds after a long silence. But than that all changed with the new announcements (Soundwave, Arcee, Ratchet, etc.) and I *kind of* regret not getting a new CJ. This could be a good stand-in. I don't mind scale too much and this might even look in-scale...?

I mean, you absolutely would if you knew what his alt mode looked like, but do Cybertronian characters usually look like vehicles aside from wheels and the occasional windshield? He still has headlights on his chest, and the only reason the rest of the kibble is gone is, again, because it’s Cybertronian.

Not to mention that basically everyone EXCEPT Bumblebee (maybe Optimus too?) had their alt-modes made just for the toys and not during the production of the movie.

How close do these kits size up with Hasbro's SS line?

I kinda wish Trumpeter would make the Offroad version of Bumblebee instead of the Cybertronian.

I love the Offroad design because it's so different, unlike the Cybertronian and Camaro versions which are basically the VW design with a few slight changes. Hopefully they maight decide to do it in the end. Just noticed, in the pic of all the Decepticons lined up, both versions of Dropkick have the lower legs from his Cybertronian form, instead of the Earth mode legs with the car's tail lights. How odd.

Shame they're being released so slowly. We should have them all by 2029 at this rate...

I want all 3, Cybertronian, Offroad (Jeep) and VW (which I own).
Hope they implement the feet different as it's impossible to get a new piece if it breaks.

Oddly I haven't had any problems with the feet. Which surprised me because if anyone's likely to break something, it's me! I do wonder if they'll start doing ROTB models, and if that means they'll abandon a lot of the Bumblebee models they've got planned.

They've already showed some of the figures on a convention so I hope they bring them out. Really looking forward for the Arcee and Brawn figures. The Bumblebee Optimus Prime looks too much like his Earth bot mode so I may skip that one and wait for the Last Knight Optimus.

Also very happy with the bases they come with. Wish I could get some more to give the characters more space.

Weibo said Soundwave's head is based on concept art, probably this one.

Why does the paint in those promo images look so good? It's really not like that in the actual figures

well it's only been 3+ years since the movie came out, so it makes sense they'd use concept art.

    wait...
