Yeah if it goes down another £10 I MIGHT do it, I only care for Ravage just not the G1 tape which isn’t something I’d ever thought I’d say since Beast Wars was always an iffy part of the fandom for me until recently.

 

I always wanted the G1 tape so that helps, but paying them for a cardboard insert definitely doesn't!

The fact that the Ravage is tampo'd on both sides actually makes it kind of interesting, however, owning the original Metals version and being able to get the Transart MP alike makes it more tempting to get that instead

Slightly frustratingly, my Christmas Road Rage has a slight stray paint speck - or paint chip? On her left eye making it look like she's got a bit of the old lazy eye  


Still greatly enjoying swooshing Ironheart around   I also like the touch that they've done her armour up in a slightly glossy finish which really makes it look like metal/carbon fibre/whatever techy material it is, rather than just normal coloured plastic which makes it stand out from my other figures costumes. It's a great touch for being so simple.

On the topic of Miss Riri Williams here. My main hope for her in the MCU is that they DON'T make her Wakandan. What I would do is take a nod from a subplot in Ms Marvel with a different character and have it that as part of Wakanda opening up to the world they open up their schools/universities to gifted students from beyond their borders, and that Riri was one of those who got accepted into the program. Also potential (actress drama aside) to have Science Sisters fun with Riri and Shuri. Further potential good will too for good representation as in the comics Riri reads somewhat as a high functioning Autist, or at the least Neuro Divergent so if handled well that would be great representation.
I hope they don't cut all ties to Stark, not least of which as her costume and name would make little sense without any connection but of course they don't have to follow the comics exactly. Thing is one of the fun things from the comic is she builds her first suit before she has any interaction with Tony. She builds it from scraps and comes from a low income family but the key issue she had was not having the skillset to program a support AI for the suit, when Tony finds out about her the only thing she wants help from him with is an AI, which ultimately leads to her having an AI duplicate of Stark as her suit AI. I could totally see that happening in the MCU, particulary as RDJ has expressed interest in possibly coming back in some form and this would be a lot less strenuous and time consuming than straight up playing Iron Man again as he'd basically be her JARVIS.
I do understand this might be retreading ground. While I've only seen Homecoming of the Holland Spidey films (health induced lag on the MCU as mentioned before, Endgame is the next one I need to watch though I know what happens to Tony roughly) I know that mentor/mentee relationship is there with Peter but Ironheart has the potential for a very different interpretation.

In other Christmas news, I made the first of my LEGO Dragon sets   Nya's Water Dragon. Nya is a favourite of mine from Ninjago and I'm stoked she's finally got a dragon. Now if only Sky/Cartoon Network would stop messing around with showing ALL of this season  

 

Late to the party, as always, but I caved and bought Kingdom Rodimus from Smyths.
I love him, and without being disingenuous to early adopters I’m really glad I didn’t pay £90+ for him.
One complaint is the use of the transparent canopy as a structural piece in the transformation. I feel like I’m going to snap it.
The red peice that holds the yellow tail fin is showing stress where the black hinge moves but it’s a minor issue.
Overall really happy with him.

 

Sometimes worth a gentle probe with a slightly whetted wooden toothpick, occasionally it's removable schmutz if it isn't an actual chip, there's been a couple of recent figures I got where that turned out to be the case with what I thought were paint damage/drip blebs.

 

Finished Hawkeye and, yup, still the best of the Plus shows (I haven't tried Loki but there isn't a hope of it being this fun).

Forgot to mention- on the 23rd, I watched all of the original Evangelion series in a discord call, that is to say from episode 6 to 26(I'd already seen 1-5 the day before) and the movie.

The ordeal lasted 10 hours and it's ramifications on my sanity were immediate and severe!

I saw the first 3 rebuild movies in a discord call today, my mind is shattered.
