Toy version arrived today. I'm not putting any of those chest hair stickers on this guy. I think it looks perfect without any of that. My first magic square figure.

 

Looks cool. I never understood why a ROBOT needed chest hair at all.

 

I guess in the late '70s and early '80s it made perfect sense. Lol

 

chest hair megs is just a random call back for the scroll work for an engraved pistol.

but i do love how it is now forever chest hair megs.

 

How does the plastic feel to you?

 

Not what I was expecting. I was expecting the gummy Plastic that people associate with MS but honestly I don't notice too much of a difference than on the NA. Newage definitely feels a bit more durable and paint is better but I'm definitely not upset with the MS at all.

 

Oh wait, does the metallic megatron use a different plastic so the paint sticks better?

 

The plastic just feels smoother and less rough due to the paint on my metallic Megatron. Same plastic but still feels better.

 

Holy crap transformation on this thing sucks. I literally never want to transform it again...it was that annoying. If I want megatron gun mode I'll transform one of my newage megs. Beautiful figure but damn what a nightmare transformation. Never again.

 

Yeah the transformation is pure garbage while the NA Megatron is a pleasant and intuitive affair and makes for a better gun as well.

 

The high cost of a super clean Megatron.

 

Decided on this guy (original version) as X-Mas present to myself.

But probably won't get him until February (in time for my birthday)

This is what has been holding me back from snagging the MS figure. It would pretty much just be for the bot mode. Newage has a messy back but the transformation is quite fun and clever once you get a handle on it. I don’t have any recent MS releases but the handful of figures I do have don’t have especially pleasing transformations compared to Newage.

 

the MS Huffer has a great transformation and is a fantastic figure if you dont have it, highly rated

 

What about ms prime’s?

 

i absolutely love MS prime. i could look at and fiddle with that bot all day. he is just that great to me.

 

Is there a full guide to where all the decals go on the new metallic version?

Someone who got it is having a hard time figuring out where some of the decals go since the promo pics don’t show them all.

My main megs is the toon NA with upgraded legs and back filler. Yes the latter is a 3rd party add on but visually it fixes the issue completely. Does wonders for the figure.
