Cy-gars and cy-garettes are normally filled with magnetized nickel, which upon getting into a Cybertronian interferes with the electricity going through their circuits, resulting in their systems getting stimulated to the point of overheating, a pleasant sensation... provided their ventilation systems can release the excess heat. However, long term repeated use can result in a buildup of nickel, which can block the ventilation systems and force the Cybertronian to use strong bursts of air to get them out. If left unchecked, the magnetic properties can result in the Cybertronian going offline, either from the electricity gathering near the built up nickel until the systems crash, or the interior mechanics get dragged apart by the magnetic forces.

 

Also a prisoner like Rampage. Quickstrike may possibly have been too, I can kinda see him as previously being a Cybertronian Jack the Ripper type.

 

Quickstrike is too stupid to be Jack the Ripper. He’d be a hotheaded thug at worst. That and I’d argue he suffers from brain damage due to his pod crash making him hyper violent.

 

Rewatching the series though he is INCREDIBLY sadistic.

 

I think he'd be less Jack the Ripper and more Jesse James or Billy the Kid personally.

 

Quintessons aren't the actual progenitor race to the Cybertronians, they're like the space pirates from Metroid and travel the galaxy in search of pies to stick their non-finger appendages into. They did enslave them at one point, but fled the planet following a revolution and went on to other projects.

 

You're not wrong, but reading through the bios there were plenty of anti-hero or sociopathic Autobots. Quickstrike would have fallen in the same ground as Repugnus, Slag, and the like. It just took the crash to push his worse traits over the edge.

 

I mean he'd literally ramble about skinning people alive and shit, it was horrifying. He's frikkin' shorter than me irl and I'd fear for my life being across the street from him.

 

What I like about Quickstrike is that he doesn't even have a dodgy predacon shell program like Blackarachnia or Inferno, and isn't... 'forcibly enlisted' like Rampage. Megatron turned up, mentioned he wanted to blow up some bots, and Quickstrike was 100% on board, maximal programming be damned. I can only assume that dominant personality traits were exaggerated in the crash along with the quantum wave effects.

Head canon theory:
Maybe Quickstrike (the bot he would have been without the crash) was a tad unpleasant/prone to being hot headed, and maybe Silverbolt (the bot he would have been) always had an honourable streak, but the effects of their "birth" exaggerated these features. We've seen crash landings have an effect on bots before, as both Tigatron and Inferno demonstrated.

 

In the ancient past, a more militaristic Cybertron invaded Nebulos as part of the Expansion, and stationed a Colony Titan there to keep their foothold. This Titan, Fortress Maximus, eventually defected and decided to help the innocent Nebulans repel the Cybertronian invasion. Experiments involving Nebulan super science and fragments of Maximus' Titanspark eventually yielded the Master Braces, which when worn would irreversibly convert a Nebulan to a half-organic half-Cybertronian hybrid complete with an individual spark capable of converting between their default Nebulan appearance, an armored up mode, and a head mode capable of taking over Cybertronian bodies. Despite this technology and the aid of Maximus, they still lost the war, but before Cybertron could complete the colonization, the Galactic Council intervened and pummeled them back to Cybertron, and confiscated as many unused Master Braces as they could to keep the technology from getting to the rest of the galaxy. A few escaped their grasp though, with one specific one falling into the hands of the Autobots millions of years later. They gave it to an ally of theirs who would keep tabs on planets in his human form to watch for Decepticon activity, but he was killed by Barricade while patrolling Earth. The Braces, as per their programming, detached from him and automatically attached themselves to the nearest human, a girl named Minerva. She eventually meets up with and joins the Autobots proper when they come to Earth hoping to rescue their ally.

 

Transformers with motorcycle modes can typically choose whether or not to mass shift upon transformation. Junkions are an exception to this, always becoming giant bikes. However the Junkions show the way remaining a giant motorcycle is useful, as other bots without armed alt modes can ride on bike bots and attack enemies during high speed pursuits.

Bike modes are rare, however, because this form of mass shifting technology is very sensitive and prone to malfunctioning, typically rendering bots stuck as giant bikes. On rare occasions they get horribly mangled, such as what happened to Groove which required extensive repairs whilst Rook stepped in.

 

Since TFP Megatron is canonically a brony I like to think he reads MLP creepypastas from time to time.

Among the Cybertronians, the military title of “Convoy” means “one with his men.” The duty of a Convoy is to be a mentor, a superior, even a father figure to those they lead- one who keeps the group safe, in good health, and ready for battle. This is the reason Megatron believed Cybertron would be better off under military rule, and why the system of the Senate and Prime were by design unsuited to lead. The title of “Prime” implies that the holder is inherently greater than the ones they lead, which Megatron does not believe to be true.

 

Since he spends so much time fighting, Optimus Prime enjoys non-violent video games in his downtime. He's currently playing Animal Crossing .

 

Are we sure It's a good idea for Optimus Prime to be playing video games?

Cybertronians, lacking any kind of water or concept of hygiene, never bathe. They tend to smell awful.
