It indeed does. And I don't think anyone will disagree with you on that. But it's fun to know that it's technically possible to get quite close to that awkward positioning of the arms as shown in the cartoon.

Before I consider buying MP-53 Skids, I have a question to ask y’all.

Is any owner of this figure experiencing QC problems?

I can't answer for everyone but my Skids is in excellent shape. I haven't seen any reports of bad QC on any Skids or Reboost which is a good sign. If there was anything major I think news would have immediately spread about it.

Nah. Skids is basically the same as 90% of all MPs. Flawless.

Enjoy your toy and be sure to buy a legit copy before the KOs fester the market with their frothy puss ridden boil on the extremely wide ass of this fandom.

Absolutely none on my end. Mine feels like the early Datsun bots with tighter joints.

This is definitely the bot I never thought I'd want, but am very happy with. It's the perfect bridge between early and current characters. The veh mode is perfection, dare I say (unlike the bulky attempt from the 3p version), and it's also cheaper than the 3p version. A must own for G1 toon MP collections as he appears more than ppl know in season 2 (especially in the triple changers "take over" episode).

On my copy of Reboost, the tabbed section above the left knee that locks the leg into place has eroded somewhat and that was after one transformation. It still manages to lock into place, but not as securely as the right leg. I haven’t transformed Skids yet, but will be mindful of it once I do. I wouldn’t classify it as a QC issue, but rather something to be aware of when putting it through its paces.

The fact that it's possible is pretty good, though. I way to keep it as toon accurate as possible...

...I will NOT be displaying mine like that, though! :D

Definitely. I was just curious to see if it’s possible. The normal configuration is more heroic looking, who doesn’t want that.

A great compromise would be the way @artimus prime did it.

That's the 'flipped around' look, isn't it? That's what I'm using, but I'm really tempted to try the uber toon look to see if I can manage to live with it!

The problem with flipping the shoulders around is that it messes up the side profile. Because of the off-centered shoulder swivel, it pushes the shoulders in front of the neck line.
