The irony with Rattrap is that he’s the one peg warming at my Walmart. At $7 I would have got one!

 

Beast Wars reissues for half price wasn't enough. $19? $15? Nope. Megatron wants the prices to fall, fall.

 

It's almost irresponsible to pass on those Beast Wars figures now.  

 

Yeah, $15 and I caved. Seriously, I can donate or save for a random day in the spring to surprise 6yo.

I don’t care about these as a collector but as a random fun toy? Yup, I’m in.

On that note, I went with Megs over Prime as a dino seemed more fun than the ape. Good call?

Ordered the BeastWars figures yesterday thinking they would not go lower lol. Just requested a cancelation of that order and put through a new one. Thanks! Did anyone else order the Marvel Legends Surtur at $19.99 a few days ago and have it shipped?

 

I did the same for my nephew and went with megs as well.

 

Like 99% of all vintage reissues I had zero interest in getting these BW figures, but for around $40 for three figures that would have cost me ~$150 (60+60+28) if I had bought them at my local Walmart, I caved.

Didn't help that I was really baked when I saw the deal  

 

At $15 for Megs and Primal, plus $7 for Cheetor I bit. I mean, that's less than retail in 1996!

Just an FYI Walmart will price match them in store. I caved too.

Just got done returning and rebuying Megs and primal. My Walmarts shelves are officially free of the ultra reissue, with just a couple of Rattrap and cheetors left.

I decided to buy them in store since now they're so cheap, they don't qualify for free shipping lol.

Though fair warning, my store really didn't want to price match @ $14.99. I had to talk to multiple associates, and the manager declined to price match at first. She scanned it multiple times. I had to emphasize that it was on clearance and sold and shipped by Walmart and still instock online.

If you're returning, make sure you can actually get them to price match before returning. Walmarts return policy does state that the Manager has final say on a price match even if it meets the valid criteria of instock + sold and shipped by Walmart.

 

That's why I just bought them online back when Primal and Megatron were still $19 each. A lot of companies are like this and the employees really don't want to be bothered by it. And anyone who says "But it's their job to always try to please the customer", well then you've obviously never worked retail before, especially around the holidays.

 

Agree, walmart seems to be horrible at this, target on the other hand has no issues whatsoever it seems like, they'll happily do a return and repurchase. Granted it's probably ymmv though and maybe location as well. But Wal-Mart seems to be the worse when it comes to this, no matter what area.

 

I was able to price match just fine when they were $24. The problem was the huge drop in price.

The associate said they couldn't price match a difference that high without a manager, and the first manager was skeptical of the price, since it's literally 70% off. She said "I'm not gonna match something scanning $50 for $15". Another manager ok'd it because they checked the online listing.

 

Okay fine, bonkers... I just re-re-re-re-re-re ordered vintage BW Megatron an unprecedented 6th time!  

At those prices, I added a vintage BW Primal and Cheetor!  

Order attempt number one on those two. For now.
