I don't usually go in on FansToys gear as I find it pretty soulless. And this lad's toon mode (the price of admission here, basically  ) really ain't my bag. But no way was I passing up on the chance of owning a Marvel UK Soundwave.



This is truly wonderful and will partner MP36+ tremendously. Now to track down a reasonably priced MP29+..

Netflix Megatron and his mini me today.

 

Had the whites been metallic silver and the blue been a darker shade, FT would have easily taken my money with the inclusion of those toy-aesthetic pieces. As it is, though, I passed and wait hopefully (but doubtfully) for one in toy colors. The sculpted pieces in the Sunbow palette is not very satisfying to my eye.

Number four, smashing into the competition in a trukk. The cheeky scamp!
I don't even know why I've taken a picture of this guy in 'bot mode, as it's MUNKEY mode where the real joy happens. Another one where I had, I think, zero expectations for the toy and, as with Wreck-Gar, the pleasure levels went up further when I started taking photos of MUNKEY looking moodily magnificent, and punching dinosaurs. Thanks for being my own personal meme generator!

Number 4 in the 2021 run down of the year, It's my favourite 'dagger of death', ol' bunny ears himself! There's a part of me that'll always wish for a more toy coloured, early Floro Derry design Cyclonus (something which made it quite hard to take the old Universe figure off the shelf), but these are trivial moans when we get a figure as good as this. Superbly proportioned and articulated, light piping to die for, and one of the best transformations I've seen in some years.
