If I were going to localize Beast Wars II, I would gender-swap Drillbit(nuts) and have them be played by Monica Rial. Short stature inventor loli character? Oh yeah, I can hear it now.

But maybe I just like her voice. There is that too.  

 

Drill Bit I make into a geologist with a hoarding disorder with a fascination for collecting minerals. I'm still working on the toy line only guys, but for the show Predacons aside from several having anti social personality disorder, frankly it'd be easier to list the Decepticons/Predacons who don't have ASPD... and since most BW Predacons would be brainwashed Maximals I just make them highly neurotic, eccentric, obsessive, etc. rather than a bunch of psychopaths (because that'd be boring tbh). Anyways, the specific disorders I assign to them would be as followed.

First, Megatron as the leader I just make into the embodiment of the dark triad of psychology (Machiavellian, Narcissism, and Psychopathy). Try and tell me he isn't this. Being the leader he's also the only one who shares disorders with the others.

Terrorsaur as the Starscream expy has Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

Tarantulas has Sadistic Personality Disorder (I know its now a defunct disorder, but it is Tarantulas here. Well that and I don't think a children's cartoon would allow a character to have Sexual Sadism Disorder...)

Waspinator has Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder because I love deconstructing his status as the butt monkey and because he's survived so much stuff. And like I said I give them "titles" to keep track of stuff so Waspiantor is The Survivor. Which is very fitting since he always survives.

Scorponok has Dependent Personality Disorder.

Inferno has Pyromania (also suffers from a delusion disorder because of the whole "thinks he's an ant" thing)

Quickstrike has Intermittent Explosive Disorder because he's a Hothead

Rampage has or I like to think he has Borderline Personality Disorder. I feel writing him off as a Psychopath would be inaccurate. I wrote a thing once explaining this, but I'll have to go find it. The thing is he cared for Transmutate showing her empathy and mourned her death something a true psychopath wouldn't do.

 

From the many cheap and not-so-cheap listings I've seen, it seems to be much more common for him to be missing parts of his mane altogether. The shiny gold plastic itself might not be the GPS kind. Plus the gold plastic parts don't really carry any load.

My vote is for the T30 version!

 

Damn it, Tigerhawk was a bust. He was 100% complete, but damn it, he was all levels of discolored!!

These are the pics I sent the seller to show the actual color he should've been, with the little bits that remained in the "normal". I will be shipping him back tomorrow.

On a positive note, I remembered what my beef with Tigerhawk was originally. As cool as he looks, he's not very poseable.

 

How much did you pay for him? He looks complete and the discoloration isn't that bad. I will say ... yeah ... he's pretty stiff as far as pose-ability goes.

 

$68 and some change. I live in FL and the dumb governor is making us pay taxes forn every online purchase.... including eBay.

 

Looks pretty normal, my dude.

 

Might as well buy a boxed Tigerhawk...

Hahahaha!!! I considered getting a boxed one, but after getting this one...no way in hell. Not worth the price. I'll just wait for the inevitable 3P one.

 

Just in case anyone is interested, Walmart's website has severely slashed the prices on the Beast Wars reissues. Megatron is almost $19, Primal is a little over $19, and Cheetor is almost $9. I had to get a Optimus and Megatron at those prices.

 

Thanks for the heads up. Cheetor and Megatron came out to $36 shipped and I couldn’t resist.

I personally don’t have much need for Megatron, but I never experienced the mold as a kid. I had 10th Cheetor as a kid though and really want that mold back.

Primal was tempting, but owned the mold once and don’t really feel like I’m missing much.

 

Its not just FL most domestic online retailers are charging tax.

 

We didn't pay online taxes bfr, unless it was specific to the state the item purchased came from. But desantis passed a law recently that changed that.

 

Eh I've seen worse but I understand completely. You could attempt to retrobright him.

 

Took a gamble on Ebay and was able to find a purple Primal. So now I have the purple and pink/purple versions. Needless to say I was super excited when I opened it up. Megatron in the photo for color comparison.

 

I remember seeing the pink and purple primals in packages 25 years ago in store and didn't get them thinking they were "defective."
