I still Have not ordered a Rodimus - I likely should - but I guess I am taking my chances on the hope of catching Argos having him on clearance. Also I got badly burned on X-Panse so I am being wary of Rodimus - more soo if I end up having to over pay for a Shattered Glass one Next year- I may as well save what I can on the normal colour - I am not a fan of his face sculpt it looks like the blind intern who designed Kup and Blurr's face did this one too.

Wow Amazon you really do completely suck don't you I ordered a load of stuff that were all "in-stock items" they didn't even bother to post some of it for a week, and then when it did arrive all of it was sent in paper bags and looked like an elephant had stepped on it - and this is with "gift packaging" being selected too.

So I'm going to be demanding some compensation - any idea what is typical to get out of them.

I also ordered an Cyberverse Arcee and an Earthrise Snapdragon and if they get smashed up too I won't be happy at all. Seriously who posts toys in a bag other than a moronic company like Argos ? and it's twice as bad when it's coming from America - it not even a padded envelope - just a course brown paper envelope. I ordered a Cyberverse Warrior Class dead end and the bubble is so shattered the thing has almost fallen off the card and my Cyberverse Deluxe Shockwave looks like it's in shaped packaging as the entire left side is squashed in.

Considering how insanely expensive the things they are too - that they can't even ship them in a box is disgusting. Also they sent my Galactic Man Shockwave in a bag too last week and that survive - likely as the box is a lot denser than Cyberverse Packaging - but boy are they useless.
& I also ordered a Super7 gold bumblebee they just chucked that in the bag with Shockwave and chewed the card to hell on that in the process.

Utterly useless company. But then I knew that - that is why I order any amazone exclusives on Pulse - as yep they managed to squash the last one I ordered from them too some months ago - which is why I order on Pulse.

Finally had enough, have emailed Sonner to request refund of Rodimus, 6 months is the limit of my patience, especially since everyone else is now selling for a discount and I can go pick up in person if I really want one

Sounds like you had the same Amazon packer who 'packed' my X-Panse for Amazon US though I got one of those grey plastic bags, no other packaging. Looked like the friggin' Juggernaught had sat on the box. Thankfully the toy itself was ok but it wasn't on! I contacted them about it and ultimately they gave me a full refund - I had only been after a postage refund! - And let me keep the toy which was nice but still, that sort of lack of care for packaging is just not on  

 

Thanks for that. It doesn't quite look like it can offer more than a complaints letter template which feels fruitless given how utterly terrible Zavvi's service seems to be. I might have to look at contacting trading standards if they continue to refuse to cancel the order.

 

Almost as frustrating is the Amazon packer who just shoved the shipping label on a clear plastic bag so my wife could see the contents of her Xmas present before Xmas...

Limited compared to WFC, he's a Warrior class though so he's roughly avaerage Prime Wars Trilogy Deluxe level, lateral head swivel with about a 130° arc of motion due to his chin and pec spikes, pretty much full arms except for wrist swivels, no waist rotation, balljoint hips, thigh swivels, pretty much full knee motion due to transformation, and linear tipping motion on the ankles.
He'd be a great addition to Legacy if they bumped him up to Voyager to include an actual nose, his shoulder missile Minicons as a working gimmick, and badged up as a Merc IMHO, Engineering-twin him with Lockdown but swap out shoulder minion missiles for his Death's Head gadget hand gear FTW!

If we're on a scenery hunt, if anyone is hankering for SF cyber scenery a tad less Goth, then I would point out Mantic Games modular BattleZone sets as Bobby sez though maybe give Ebay a peruse, I'm just linking to source so people know what they're looking for (though Mantic are a UK firm AFAIK so if you feel like splashing the cash please do so - I wouldn't have a Skyhammer Outermost vehicle shell without 'em!) I believe I got my poor, misused-&-abused for modding (including a cut-down floorplate as Fort Max's Comms decking) Checkpoint set for a hair under £30 from a smaller retailer clearing it out.

 

Ah, that's good. The TAV Overload seems to only have Transformation joints. His legs, body and head are a single molded piece and his arms only have articulation necessary for transformation ><

I probably shouldn't keep badmouthing something I intend to try and sell in the new year should I?  


Also, a thought I've had before but does anyone else feel like thematically Titan Scorponok would have made more sense in Kingdom than Earthrise? What with having a beast mode and all? And I mean, the Ark would have fit just fine in Earthrise what with the G1 Earth Altmodes and everything.
Naturally I'm only talking toylines here.

I dropped my normal Zarak Headmaster under my bed I need to crawl under there and find it.

I had similar thoughts, I concluded I'd just buy Iron Factory stuff for a while or keep saving up for a new Television (The Black Friday Sales were a complete wash out this year Maybe I can get a cheaper 65" LG C1 - once the C2 comes out - the C1 might even have a better panel - if the rumours of all the TV companies trying to save money on reduced quality screens is true) or put some money aside in case I see someone selling something I am missing in the way of expensive 3rd Party toys.

I guess it's Possible that Hasbro "might" manage to actually ship some Botbots or something prior to Legacy's "proper" launch. & I guess Bumblebee Movie Masterpiece Optimus Prime will be on sale eventually and I do want to get one of those. & I do by Cyberverse from time to time and I've not even barely seen the Dinobot related stuff yet - so there is always that to chase I guess.

Yeah considering how good two of the Paleotrex Mould looks combined - I would like to get another one and a space Matrix might be useful to have and there is so many Megatron Upgrades you can get - I kinda don't mind have an extra to play dress up barbie with.

 

Well, Takara weren't exact in delineating between the Gimmick line and the Action Figure line of NuRID that was pretty clearly delineated by Hasbro US.
I very nearly caved on a Western copy as he was the nearest thing to an Impactor at the time, dodged a bullet there. Tons of fun to be had blasting "Ball"-type Minicons still though, eh, that's his USP.

I can see how it makes a certainsense but if we put ourselves in the Hasbro TF teams shoes to look from their perspective, doing him/it in Kingdom is both the completion of the arc (pun intended), and the ideal candidate for the "Victory Lap" Titan slot, as the Ark at the end ties back to the very beginning (of the whole franchise no less!) in a neat not-so-little package.

 

That makes sense.
