It's safer to make everything G1-based than to totally Swerve into the Unicron Trilogy. I think they are "boiling the frog" as they call it. They aren't totally switching the aesthetic from the G1 that Generations has been for a while and instead just slowly changing the aesthetic into the other aesthetics. Realize that, if they were to have just made it like you guys wanted it to be, it would have been hard because imagine seeing Laser Prime, Kickback, and an Accurate Bulkhead all under the same banner of "Legacy". Would you think the aesthetics of the entire line would match?

 

I'm gonna rewatch all the 5 (6 if you still prefer Car robots a seperated universe) Main transformers series for the Legacy lineup next year.

 

I'm probably close to the number one 'DOWN WITH G1 EMBRACE THE FUTURE THAT IS ALSO THE PAST!" person on tfw. But even I think this is the best way to do it, now that I've had some time to think about it, of only because it means our lists isn't too long to start off with.

 

Bloody hell, by the time you reach the second half of Armada you will have gone mad and by season 3 of Animated you will have become Primus himself.

 

I watched season 3 again recently and if you have seen it I don't know how you can get it wrong. They say it over and over again and it's always the same way.

 

It's so weird to me that some people on these boards (who are mostly adults), waste their time getting so worked up over little issues with plastic toys. Non-issues that they will probably forget about in a day or two.

Like can't some of you just be happy for once lol? I understand not liking something, but do you all really have to be so pessimistic?


Not to mention some people who butt in to a thread that doesn't even really pertain to what they're trying to bitch about complain about the writing of a show that hasn't been relevant for the last 10 to 11 fucking years as if they could write any better.

Sorry kinda needed to vent, but hey, at least the new legacy figures look good... RIGHT? I'm definitely gonna get dragstrip and kickback at some point.

I was mainly bitching about how whiny some fans are here as well as that autobot burnout dude from like a hundred pages ago, since he was going on a weird tangent about prime arcee's character for some reason. (I mean, from what I've seen, he REALLY hates prime for some reason)

Didn't mean for the first bit of my post to come off as a personal attack against anyone or nothin'. I will admit I was generalizing a bit tho.

just found out that on smyths toys superstores website some of the legacy transformers are set to realease early, probably just an error on their part but it could mean the realease date has been pushed foreward.
for anyone wondering the dates are: G2 optimus - june 2022, blaster - march 10 to march 20 2022, bulkhead - march 10 to march 20 2022, arcee - june 2022, dragstrip - april 2022, kickback - april 2022.
if someone has noticed this already well thats my fault for not reading

This is specifically the Legacy packaging version.

Those seem perfectly reasonable, given the Voyagers are available elsewhere and Iguanus started getting shipped out in the UK this week too. If anything the June ones seem rather far.

 

Ah, I beg pardon. I didn't pay any attention to the packaging when I saw them on the shelves-- only the figure itself. I didn't realize Blaster was being released twice. Is there any difference in the actual toy?

 

Eject being made of clear plastic makes more sense, that's about it.

 

Oh, I thought Eject was translucent blue on the one I saw. I could be mistaken.
