He actually got a U.S Target exclusive release during Beast Machines, so he's not just a Japanese character anymore.

He was also in the Dreamwave Beast Wars mini.

 

I mean still. I'd want to see how you even comprehend or make a modern figure out of 3 dinosaurs that make a centaur mode and a robot mode

 

He’s one of those figures whose Korean version was available cheaply for the longest time. Not any more.

A reissue would be good.

 

RID Megatron and Galvatron are the exact same toy, but he unlocked 5 extra modes with this one weird trick!

 

Do we have any rumored repaints of Laser Optimus? A part of me really hopes they pull an ER OP and repaint it like crazy and some even without the trailers. Toxitron, Combat Hero, Hero/Sureshotimus, Magnus, maybe SG if it has anymore vibrant purple on it.

 

We’ll be getting Black Convoy/ Scourge in the Walmart line next year. No word on any others but I hope they go all out.

As I've said before, I think it would be nearly impossible to improve the original Gigatron, not only because of the limited budget of today, but also because that was a figure that was waaaaaay ahead of its time with all the required articulation you would expect from current standards (aside from a waist swivel).

Hell, I think you might, might make a better argument by saying that you want an updated Fire Convoy because while that was also a toy that could easily pass as a modern figure, it also suffered from big back kibble and odd leg articulation (although it was still much better than the quite frankly overrated Galaxy Prime from the highly overrated Galaxy Force line). A Haslab project could do good interesting stuff with this.

Now THIS is a figure that needs a serious update and could definitely justify the Haslab treatment. Big Convoy could definitely be pulled off at Leader Class in retail.

They really didn't go that crazy with ER Optimus in my opinion. We got dead Prime, SG Prime and a normal Prime with different shades of his standard colors in Netflix. Still baffled that they didn't do Nemesis Prime from that mold.

 

Or Inner Ultra Magnus, I would have bought that in a heartbeat

 

Or Delta Magnus inner robot colors.

I'd rather they save Combat Hero for later and give him a Voyager that can (pretty EASILY) be remolded into Energon Rodimus and still get teh unreleased color for Selects. I absolutely hope we get Toxitron and Ice Magnus from this though!
