Why is everyone acting like we didn't get two full reviews from Cheftron and PvP already?

did the legs need to be flipped around? those fake wheel just didn't seem necessary on the outside

I prefer pics myself; no need to mute or fast forward to find what I need. So even if it’s just this 3, it’s most welcome.

 

The CG model has wheels on both sides of each leg; the wheels that end up in the torso aren't there on the CG model. I thought they'd do a similar leg transformation to Siege Hound, but they decided to go the faux parts route.

 

At least the chest wheels conceal themselves quite well

 

It mildly angers me to have the real wheels be on the inside instead of outside. It makes the inside of the legs more bulky than the outside and that just looks weird. Hated when the TLK bee mold did that too.

 

I’m loving this wheel hate.

These guys all look pretty good, but movie stuff is not the focus of my collection. I’m looking for any and all reasons to pass.

 

Ok the hands don't really bother me but is it really that hard to paint the hands red?

 

They're unpaintable nylon, so yes.

 

Honestly I don't mind the wheels, I just wish he didn't have the faux ones. I know that would make him even less accurate but I just want a cool looking toy, and the contrast between the real and faux wheels on the legs is too obvious for me. Still definitely gonna get it though, especially with that crazy ass transformation.

 

Damn, crazy how one toy could make a company go bankrupt

Yeah either I'm gonna try to paint them, or spray paint them (first gonna make sure the reds match and aren't too dark or mainly too bright). Or a 3p company will come out with red hands (you know someone will try to).

And it could use a bit of red in places but damn all things considered this figure looks great and will look even better as Ironhide probably.

Always expect an Ironhide from a Ratchet (unless it's either Bay Ironhide or Ratchet or Ironhide and Ratchet are 2 different designs). Also yes he's in the same wave as Arcee (wave 2).

 

Ratchet vehicular mode looks space vehicular sun movies The Martian , Armageddon with less wheels

 

People often feel obligated to find *something* about a figure no matter how excited they are at first.

Not sure why suddenly now feux parts are a problem when it's been common practice since at least Animated.

...why wouldn't they do both? Repainting Ratchet in to Ironhide (and vice versa) has been a tradition older than many of the people in this thread.

No, they couldn't. Not unless they cast a bunch of other stuff in red. Hasbro's not gonna blow like a hundred grand to make one toolset just to make two pieces of plastic red.

 

There are 2 G1 Ironhide's coming next year
1.) Repaint of this BBM Ratchet
2.) SS86 Ironhide that is supposed to be a new mold and not a repack of ER Ironhide
Also, off-topic I know this won't happen at all but I would like a more accurate Trailbreaker mainly cause I'm not a fan of the fact that they didn't retool the sides of the truck since Trailbreaker didn't have them in the cartoon.
