Checked Wikipedia, not gonna say anything, but something I hoped would happen in the movie DOES happen
Once Variety has put the information out there, it's not necessarily Variety that's going to be the source of your spoiler. That said, I read the Variety review and don't really feel spoiled, per se. It tells us more than the trailers tell us, but Spoiler it doesn't reveal anything I wasn't already expecting to be 100% true. And, unless you've got tickets to the very first US screening on the East Coast, I don't think it reveals anything you were going to make it to the theater without knowing anyway.
So let me guess more or less most of the rumors about certain people appearing in the movie are true.
Yep it's them and scenes are leaking all over youtube right now. Judging by the language it's from someplace that speaks Spanish I think. Spoiler Even a certain Netflix lawyer is confirmed now as appearing Guess we will find out if they are fake or not in a few days. Update_ and now english versions are popping up.
I let myself watch 1 leaked scene to tide me over till Thursday, and I have to say… Spoiler I don’t know who thought to put that in the movie but I can’t wait to see the memes of it.
"This was a really fun one, and I'll end up buying it on Blu-ray, or 4K" Rotten Tomatoes Rating: 97% - "A bigger, bolder Spider-Man sequel, No Way Home expands the franchise's scope and stakes without losing sight of its humor and heart." Metacritic Score: 72 out of 100
Just going to poke my head in here to say Spoiler looks like the rumors were true Now if you will excuse me, I will be leaving until I can safely watch this film.
Just finished watching it. Hands down Holland-Spidey's best movie, and one of the best of the MCU. Leaks are 100% true too. Spoiler: BIG SPOILERS It was amazing to see Tobey in all his awkward-Parker glory again, but you could really tell that he's aged and doesn't quite have the energy and physique anymore. Garfield might have actually stole the show for me though (along with Dafoe)....the parts where he reflects on Gwen got me choked up a couple of times.
I watched a few spoiler clips on Youtube already because they were inevitable.. and I caught a few things: Spoiler When Tobey arrives at Ned's house, you hear his Spider-Man theme played on a piano. Then what sounded like a joke, but Tobey Spidey mentions he doesn't breathe either. Is this a slap on the first movie where he's swinging away after rescuing MJ from the Goblin attack at the parade, and it's an obvious dummy? Also, technically this movie had FOUR Spider-Men. Tobey, Garfield, Holland, and the Superior Molina.
as someone who hasn't totally been into MCU Spidey and is already tired of multiverse shenanigans, seeing the cinematic Spider universes crossing over has me really excited. Spoiler Seeing all the Spider-Men together is so cool! Is it a contrived move preying on nostalgia? yeah, totally, but it works! I'm even psyched seeing Garfield again and I didn't care for TASM movies at all! I'm unsure where my interest in MCU Spidey will go from here (crossovers with Venom or other Sony Spidey projects most likely won't have the same charm) but for now the fan pandering is working.
Spoiler I didn't notice the Elfman theme when Tobey arrives, but it's definitely there when he's speaking to Sandman near the end (all the classic themes play at some point when the characters are on screen). Ah, the breathing thing was Tobey talking about how he doesn't produce his organic webbing on purpose, it just happens naturally, like breathing....since the other Spider-Men keep asking him how it works. Not exactly a spoiler, so I'll say that everyone is going to love Green Goblin in this. Dafoe somehow makes him even more terrifying than SM1. Spoiler The way Norman shrugs off punches and laughs like a maniac while Spider-Man desperately tries to fight back during the apartment fight is top-tier Goblin.
Good, I was afraid for a bit Osborn wouldn't have much focus since he seemed the least featured in the trailers. This gives me a lot to look forward to.
For someone who has seen it, how was Doc Ock? How does the fight on the bridge end? Spoiler Did the fight end like how some of my friends speculated, with Peter taking control of the arms after they absorb the nanotech so Otto doesn't have them messing with his mind?
Not sure how much you want spoiled, so I'll be vague on stuff outside of the bridge fight: Spoiler Sort of. Otto rips a chunk out of the suit and it bonds down his tentacles (which he's fine with), then while he's distracted by seeing Peter's face, Peter "pairs with new device" and takes control of the tentacles. It doesn't fix Otto, Peter just uses the tentacles to restrain/move him around against his will.....which is how the bridge fight ends. Otto gives the nanotech back to Peter after a while.
