On the prototype, the paws were articulated so they could lie flat in Megazord mode. The articulation has been cut so now they stick up awkwardly. The prototype also had the legs filled out, but they’re all waffle-y on the final figure.
Not necessarily since Robodou is starting to incorporate some transforming designs. Competition inspires innovation rather than complacency so I’d love to see another contender like 3zero in the Megazord arena.
So have there been any in-store sightings for the Walgreens Silver Ranger? Walgreens used to be the easiest place to get exclusives from around me, but it seems like my local stores just aren't stocking the shelves anymore when it comes to toys.
They did get the PR license to make 1/6 figures of the Rangers and with other companies like Flame Toys doing Megazords 3zero could be an interesting player thrown in the game. Best decision on 3zero's part to go into all sorts of big robot licenses.
I assume we're talking about the hollow tiger legs with fake wheels. As for the Mastodon Zord, there's gap fillers on its back end to hide all the Megazord forearm junk, but they're just removable filler pieces, rather than built-in hinged bits like the Soul of Chogokin version.
Is it weird that the thing that put me off the ZAP Megazord was the lack of painted detail on the mini-Rangers? I feel like for $160+ that it's unforgivable to skip some white and black paint apps. I still have my Legacy Megazord, and I think I'm okay with keeping it to that.
Yeah, I still have the Mattel Voltron that's like 24". It's an impressive display piece, but really way too big. I feel the same way about the Titan-class releases like Metroplex and Fort Max.
I hope Hasbro release some 12 inch monsters for the Megazord to tangle with! Tbh the main reason why I got into this line is because of variety of villains!
I'm still waiting for Hasbro to steal my idea of 7inch MZs that are fully posseable and don't transform and are put into VS packs with a monster from that series.
Agreed, they should have some paint. I feel like they should be removable, too. I don’t expect Diaclone levels of articulation on tiny pilots for these things, but they could have done something like the Star Wars action fleet or TMNT Micro Mutants from 20 years ago. Even the Thunder Megazord had removable pilots. Why even have opening cockpits if they aren’t going to paint the Rangers or make them removable?
I’m hoping they’ll at least add the Megazords to the deluxe assortment, but I’d definitely want to see versus packs because it’s another way to get more monsters.
The Megazord is listed at 333 ft tall. 1:144 would make it almost 28”. Unless they are using a different listed height or the can’t do maffs, I might get this for my kids.
