Y'all aren't great at analogies. The steak itself is great, however, because you used a coupon, they served you an overbaked brownie with dollar store ice cream for dessert.

 

Well, it's accurate to what ever version of ravage that is, but he still doesn't look much like a cat. Just my opinion.

 

I seriously am trying to figure out which pair of wheels on the legs are the faux ones. Is it the outer ones or the inner?

 

I get that I was just saying the reason the figure looks like that is cause he looked like that in the movie.

 

No in your example, you are given Prime Steak and complaining that it doesn't taste like pork, because you're used to eating pork and so any type of meat you eat should also be pork.

 

I really liked Soundwave when I first saw the toy but now my opinion has turned. I think it's the limbs, they look too stumpy

 

The toy just needs the missing colors of the model/artwork design.

The main thing missing minus the red paint on the front is the middle blue piece that comes forward.

 

You know, it’s hitting me that Ratchet has fake wheels and while the two of the wheels are adjacent to where they should be, the other wheels hide inside the robot mode.

I wonder if a third party team will try to replace the legs where there are no faux wheels. (Or is it looking like Ratchet's transformation would make that impossible?)

 

No, that analogy is for the people who want Soundwave to be an obsolete tape deck for all time. I want Soundwave to turn into a cool vehicle, not some two-bit brick. If they weren't even going to bother with the altmode, they should have just relegated this Soundwave to RED series.

Also i like them using more pinned joints on the arms and legs, lots of the core class stuff has used ball joints for -everything- and thats cool, balljoints are cheap effective universal joints, i just like the designated stability of pinned joints. dont matter so much on small figs who dont gotta support any real weight, but still happy to see more pins on ol Shockster

 

I wish soundwave turned into something like a beefy 4-wheeled cybertronian vehicle, but instead we get a slab that\'s a snowspeeder wannabe

 

Just to keep with the food analogy; some people like you see a nice looking rare steak all around. Others like us think the steak is uncooked on the other side. That is all there is to it, try not to get bent out of shape about it.

Guys why are you putting your hopes and dreams for your penultimate alt-mode on this BBM Soundwave? that's what I don't get. There are other Soundwave's to be forever upset about. This is just BBM Soundwave, who is not squared off like an APC and does not have room for wheels to be hidden in his body, he doesn't have place for a giant jet nose or wings either because at the end of the day he IS BBM Soundwave, not IDW Soundwave or Cybertron Soundwave etc, he should not be judged based on those Soundwave's because he's a different aesthetic.

 

I'm judging BBM Soundwave on its own merits (or lack thereof), and I think the vehicle mode is terrible!

 

Yeah, that Soundwave isn't doing enough in alt mode on its own merits for my tastes. I want to like it, but it just feels so poorly executed, just "flatten figure and cover head" doesn't stick the landing. It doubly doesn't help that the concept art looks way cooler without being substantially different. For me, between the hollowness in bot mode and the alt mode looking underwhelming, I was tempted but at $31.50 I just couldn't pull the trigger.
