Ah for some reason I had it in my head ym Defensor was 43cm so when I saw this Bruticus was coming up online between 43cm-45cm across different sites I got excited I could have them scrapping it out together.
Thing is I started to build my mp Decepticons then realised I was never going to be able to have both them and the Autobots but did want some of my favorite characters for a display, I really like this one and his colours but I have a tight budget so he will be my background combiner, I already have Soundwave & tapes, Shockwave, then just need a wfc Reflector (one will do) a seeker going with Skywarp he's my favourite, beautiful colours plus I cant stand Starscream, then finally ayoi mech mp size Megatron with some slight modification, I really wanted thf one with the English speaking cannon but missed my chance for him now at an affordable price.
Wouldn't mind a triple changer in there to like Blitzwing or Astrotrain but I think the above is enough for now just want enough for the effect you know?

Mind you I'm already eyeing up Legacy Sharpnel  

 

I have the four limbs to sell (in the UK) as separate figures since I bought another full set to replace a broken Onslaught. (Not that I expect that's what you're looking for, but I thought I might as well put it out there.)

If I remember correctly, mine came in a plain brown box and some plastic bags. Not sure if they ever made a box with artwork for him.

 

They did, at least when I got mine a few years ago. It was absolutely massive.

YueXing is 1:1 KO but simplified, with diecast. 15 inch/38cm.

Jinbao is Oversized to 18in/45cm, but exact copy with improved ratchets.

So I've gone a bit mad on a few mp size Decepticons recently, I never intended to collect the Decepticons in this scale but always liked the thought of just getting few of my favourite characters for a nice little display.

1st up is the Jinbao Combaticons set I've wanted for ages, glad I finally pulled the trigger.
Swindle is definitely my favourite of the group but then he always was from the original series, out of the few episodes I did manage to catch as a kid was when the Combaticons hot introduced, always thought it was very cool when it takes you back to the war in black and white showing you how all the vehicles came to rest where the exiled Starscream discovers them.
With Swindle it's the fact he's a Jeep like a evil opposite to Hound but it's how he has his cannon mounted to his arm like Megatron plus his wheeling dealing attitude. 1st time I transformed him I didn't flip up his chest but actually quite like him with the front of the Jeep too. I thought the shoulder wheels would bother me but there is plenty of options for putting them where you want like a lot of things with this set, all very versatile.

Brawl is probably my next favourite but he seems a bit off I guess it's how his shoulders work for a bulky tank I feel he should be a bit wider and broader an extra joint to allow his shoulders fold out a little more would of completed him.

Vortex is very cool with his detachable rotors doubling up as swords and his traditional arm cannons, he's very parts forming which might bother some but absolutely fine with it tbh it's just gives them all more options.

Blastoff is probably my least favourite sorry Paul Farrelly I know you love yours, I just always found him the odd one out there all really cool Military vehicles then there's this brown space shuttle? It just never really made much sense to me, plus his looks were always a bit plain although this set is fairly stylized so those extra details go a long way with him.

Onslaught was always my favourite of the g1 toys but I have very mixed feelings about this version. I mean his truck is awesome it really looks like it would smash through any roadblock with ease, now the bottom half of its bot modeworks great but the top half is a real mess it just feels unfinished? I get some of it is to do with the combiner element and gives it a strong base for Bruticus but he has suffered a bit because of it I feel and I like the individual look of the bots as much as the combined figure if you catch my Drift.
His back cannons can be used as weapons but I prefer them on his back for that more classic look but there so dam big he does struggle to balance once on plus the connectors are weird as there more of a flip over cover for the Bruticus head so aren't a very stable base to mount on.
I actually gave him Vortex's nosecone gun instead as Vortex is pretty heavily armed already

The set look great together in botand alt mode, I think I'm going to enjoy them a bit more as a team before I combine them to Bruticus.

Amazing strong ratchets on them all assures me combine mode should be pretty stable sadly the feet of the individual bots are on ball joints though so posing dynamically is a bit of a challenge (will need some floor polish)

Last thing to mention is the light piping which doesn't work great with these dudes so I painted mine in to there g1 colours as you will see in the first pictures and without further down i also messed around with some editing modes on some of the pictures to give them a comic book feel, what do you all think?

I appreciate there not for everyone but price wise for what you get they work great for me for masterpiece.

I really enjoyed them when I had them. Gave them to a coworker's son. He thinks that they are great.

I loved some of those older Chugsterpieces, and this set were among the best of their era. They had MP size and an MP vibe to them, but also had a real action figure feel to them.

 

I got a ko of the modern masterpiece Skywarp at the same time a but enjoy these Combaticons so much more than that more modern Skywarp which is meany to have a lot of fixes over the original more expensive release he's so finicky and keeps untabbing all the time and I just not that fun in comparison.

Looking forward combining them tonight

My Warbotron set sits packed away in boxes somewhere. Very Toy Story 2 like.

COMBATICONS COMBINE TO FORM BRUTICUS!!!!

Here he is with the rest of my mp size Decepticons i think he looks great.
Balancing is a bit of an issue when you get hin just right he suddenly stands like a stone but a tiny fraction of movement and away he goes, i mean hes a lot more stable than some combiners I've handled and i get it hes got a lot of top wieght, the way Onslaughts legs curl up behind him ti form a meaty heavy block on top of that waist section then the massive cannons on top of all that i'm surprised he stands at all so still pretty impressived. The ratchets are strong and do the job pretty good mosy of the time.
Had to collapse him back down though last night yo put him back away in my wardrobe as the top section is already taken over by Unicron, Omega supreme and Defensor (ym Defensor is an absolute nightmare and sharp edges are really painful to combine so he stays together permanently)

Combining Bruticus is actually pretty straightforward and not too taxing lije tte individual transformations so i was really relived last night for that as its been a long week so didn't have the energy or patience gor overly complex bullshit.

 

There's an AliExpress seller that has this on sale for $100, plus a number of store coupons and discounts that lowers it to all of $88 shipped before tax. I just pulled the trigger on it myself:
