A long while back I found this (now deleted) deviantart account with its own interpretation of transformers which had spinister as the decepticons main medic

 

He is a neurosurgeon in IDW 1, so it would make sense to make him a medic in future stories.

 

In my story there are at least three different Decepticons that act as the medics in the military, outside of generics which I'd depict as poor Decepticons abused by those they repair out of anger of losing their fight. After all the Decepticons believe in a survival of the fittest motif in my story so there aren't as much of a need for medics as the Autobots who value life. If you're too weak to win your fight you might as well be dead. This is different to the scientists like Shockwave & Magnificus who prefer to experiment on lesser beings to further their species.

The first is Hook of the Constructicons, in my story he is the primary doctor within Megatron's initial rank of Decepticons first in their fight on Earth as well as before coming to the planet. As I'd introduce splinter factions with Zarak, Overlord, Deathsaurus, Thunderwing, & Megatronus Prime; Hook would continue to act as the primary medic across all branches of the Decepticon army as the Constructicons didn't pledge loyalty to one specific leader, sometimes carrying out missions with Galvatron or being led into battle by Zarak.

Secondly would come Knock Out, he's still the same Knock Out we know in Prime. However he'd primarily be a medic to Megatron/Galvatron and would even join him when his small group goes rogue. As such he'd end up fighting alongside Breakdown and other Megatron loyal Decepticons with the Autobots against Megatronus Prime. Finding peace post war on a Decepticon colony planet forged by Starscream.

Thirdly would by Oil Slick based on this design from Fun Pub

I'd hint at him being a medic primarily for those under command of Megatronus Prime & initially Thunderwing as he'd primarily stick around for scenes involving them. Even more so he'd be one of the few loyal to Megatronus when most of the Decepticons would turn on him to side with the Autobots against him.

 

You can't get better than Scalpel.

Moonheart is chief surgeon, tasked with the most important operations and runs the medical unit. Knockout is your standard practice Doctor, doing "tune ups" and the like and handles most of the day to day non-emergency operations. Conduit is another medic, who leans more towards battlefield triage, when not assisting running the medical unit during normal operations.

 

Shockwave. All that experimenting over the years is bound to make someone knowledgeable on Cybertronian biology.

 

i used to be more for knockout but like the more recent trend of him being a velocitronian so it goes with flatline, though i like him as a more detached con, more focused on his trade than the decepticon rhetoric

 

This guy!!! I haven't come up with a name but hes my decepticon medic.

 

The Constructicons. They built Megatron, they can repair Megatron.

Unless he built them. In which case, Megatron is the medic, I guess.

 

GI Joe vs Transformers II #4 started it all.

Sure, you might wake up from surgery with a couple extra limbs or a completely new face, but hey.. at least you're still alive?

And it's better than being thrown out an airlock.

 

Until Knockout, flatline, or Scalpel get good toys, I actually headcannon octane as a medic, owing to his non-combative altmodes and fuel related function making him seem like a support class. Of course, that is when the decepticons can afford him. Other than him, I imagine soundwave is trained for first aid and has some skills from in animal care.

 

Definitely Hook and Knockout. And Moonheart (since I found out a little more about her past).

 

Knockout is great for both comedic and serious ish tones ona story, got personality and can have dynamics with a small team,
but I love scalpel, medicine is scary and doctors bring the humanity to that science

ratchet is our resident big grumpy doctor or younger field medic the kind of guy who tells you everything will be alright, lets go get you patched up   .


But scalpel is this invasive small creepy *thing* with a clear decepticon flavor of eh kill the dude for partts vibe, it isnt even lets do this for glory or whatever it is the guy just goes to get his job (pretty sure the official artist of TF:A did a drawing of him once but not sure if its canon) he is the invasive hearthless medical part of medicine, trouble is in a show or toy line he's kinda hard to have him interact with normal people.



shockwave should have better things to do than be a designated medic, computer BS, super science, weapons, body experiments, cloning predacons, making space bridges, plotting a take over, space ships, comunicating from an outpost while testing stuff, creating supersoldiers or viruses he should not be the doctor at all he can't be bothered patching laserbeak or checking megatron once a week after every skirmish hes a greater scope character.

So these are your OCs based off a pre-existing background medic in canon then right? Do you mind if I develop my own divergently fleshed out version of this dude based off just the original?

 

Non-sentient medical drones.

 

I mean he has a TFWiki entry just based on his one appearance in TF/GIJ II #4, so yeah, he's free game. If you called your version Spectrawave I would consider it a favor, just to get that name to stick. Verticon and Dialatius are OCs though. Otherwise, knock yourself out.

 

Cool. Think my take on him will have transforming medical tools instead of deployers for cassettes for distinction. Though a medic carrying little nurses in his chest is certainly a cool idea.

 

Hook.
