There are five Masterpieces I wanted. I have three. One ships later this month and the other hasn't been made. I don't collect anything else related to Transformers. Outside of that last Masterpiece I want it's all for a five year old.
The kid in me? But I can say that I've bought a few for kids too, but "here" for that.. I wouldn't expect much if anyone is, as these forums are for fans that Transformers is their hobby and not because they're looking for info to buy something for kids. Such people would probably look up reviews and such but not really join a forum over it.
I collect mostly 3rd party, Legends(+) scale Transformers for myself, but my kids are becoming interested in things like WFC and Cyberverse. I've picked up a couple of figures for my older boys and my youngest son asked to put a 3rd party combiner on his Christmas list. I hope their interest in the line grows, because I think they're great toys.
Even if I buy it for me it ends up in my kid's hands so, I guess I buy them all for her now lol. I'm not really interested in any of the new stuff. The last time I saw any decent TF toys was TFA and TFP. Cybertron had some really fun stuff, but I wasn't too into the gimmick and even though I had the Lion and Wing Saber, I didn't enjoy combing them with Prime. He'd keep falling over, and was just too much. The figure was better off alone without the wings and lion fist. They just keep trying make more fun/entertaining and I find it less appealing. I remember wearing out my BM Cheetor. The gold coming off his head because I transformed him so much. Those were the days. Anything I buy these days is like "ok transform them once and on the shelf they go, don't want to break them!"
His posting history shows him more a fan than he's letting off as? Looks like he bought more than just 5 MPs. 1k + posts, and claims he's here for 5 MPs. Nothing strange about that.
Yeah, the other stuff is for my son. If you did pay attention to my post history, you would have realized than anything but Masterpiece is not Sunbow enough for me.
I collect for me. But I'm known as the cool uncle. I let anyone and everyone play with my collection. The only rule is that if they break it, they need to tell me, so I can either fix or replace it. My son is too young for tfs and lego still. He is 3. But I let him play with them under my supervision. He loves big rigs and trailers so G2 laser prime is his go to right now. I'll see what he likes as he grows and I'll probly get into it with him. Whatever that may be.
